It's just a joke that I made, I'm not trying to mock anyone, obviously IEMs are subjective to everyone's ears and tastes and anything can be ranked as number 1 depending on who made the ranking list. That's all.- AxLvR

I think a few of us have posted impressions about the Alter Ego. It's somewhere in the thread, the bottomline is it's a very good Mid-Fi IEM. Personally i'd take it over Traillii or Traillii Ti.- AxLvR

You are correct, Silver/Silver Alloy Cable is the way to go for the Alter Ego. When we tried AE during SG Canjam, we cable rolled it with @Crazeee's friend Silver Cable, SGAudio Hive Ulan 8w (pure silver), MA's Silver alloy cable, they all opened up the sound, giving more resolution, more...- AxLvR

Frequency response at the ear drum
Okay, in the case of Oriolus Japan, i do notice of their increase in price, especially the Traillii which i believe now costs around US$7,482 which wasn't the case 2 years ago. In this specific case, I agree with you that the hike in price needs a clear statement and explanation from Oriolus JP...- AxLvR

Frequency response at the ear drum
What I can sum up from the discussion is where we go back to what it's supposed to be. FR measurement will be more accurate to an X individual the more said individual is familiar with his/her own HRTF and be fully knowledgeable about the FR, its slopes, peaks, roll offs and whatnot. That way...- AxLvR

Okay, I've just re-watched Theo's video in regards to details in an IEM. First of all I'm a "simply believe your ears" kinda guy as compared to how does an IEM graphs guy. From what I can sum up, cmiiw, according to Theo, details, resolution, tech, etc. is a result of how an IEM is being tuned...- AxLvR

True, Whenever im trying to justify my pricey purchases i just comfort myself by thinking "Hey, this portable audio hobby ain't nothing, your entire setup is only the cost of 1 cable in the 2-Channel world! Just go for it!" :joy:- AxLvR

When i see things like this, I see it as a new tech that is yet to be perfected and hopefully will be in the future. It is the 'first' of its kind that makes it ultra expensive, just like how Plasma TVs were few and super expensive in the early 2000s. With tech, it will get better and more...- AxLvR

Source is unfortunately crucial with Storm. It does require a big driving power and good pair up would be the 320max or the N30LE, PB5 is also excellent! Sovereign Symphony definitely gives a bigger stage, more definition, texture, technicality and space! It's a great cable!- AxLvR

It is simply not "The Best" IEM. I think you got that it was just considered and hyped that way by many, hence the title of the youtube video. The best IEM is the one that moves you, that gives exhilarating experience, and goosebumps when you listen to it, and that is personal to everyone, it...- AxLvR
