Really, you found the supermoon to have much better resolution than the a8000? That is totally unexpected for me. I think i will pick up the supermoon now and try it out as well. I wanted to try the a8000 for its speedy transients and detailed sound, but I'm afraid of the brightness too.

Well that's 100% a crappy lie. You CAN obviously bypass the DAC in the KSE1500 by using the line in and going full analog. You probably tested wrong and left the EQ in the signal path. I wasn't aware that was possible, but I'll just assume that's what happened here. Obviously if you're gonna EQ...

I bought one of these recently and the noise floor is INSANELY high for my iems. So much so that I just can't use iems on it and the background noise is unbearable. Is this normal? Also i have significant channel imbalance at lower volume at 9 oclock or below. Is it worth RMAing this unit?

Whoa you're the ONLY other user who I've ran into that also pairs theirs with a GL1200. Congrats. I've had the SR1A and the GL1200s and greatly prefer the GL1200. I really don't understand why Jot R isn't more popular.

I ran my 1.7is through the Raal HSA 1B speaker out and it sucked. It could get REALLY loud, but it was generally craptastic for detail. The AHB2 smoked it in every way. I dunno if something like the Jot R would be much of an improvement over the HSA 1B.
