I agree that it drains so much energy, I don't go as far as I used to with it. I do try to do simple things like switching my browser since its something I install once and then it just works. Privacy is not easy these days for sure.

The steam deck is a better value now for sure, since you can install emulators and play games from multiple consoles. I would only get a switch if you care about Nintendo switch online.

PC, I can emulate any console games that I'm interested in. I did use the PS4 for a while before I got my PC

I also had this issue on Linux, (opensuse tumbleweed) although there was no sound for only a second or two. On windows with drivers installed I don't run into this issue. Sometimes the output from the quarter inch will crackle, but this can be fixed by just plugging in my headphones again

The stock tips had made my ears ring a lot, after I switched to spring tips this didn't happen as much. I seem to be the only one with this strange issue

Definitely deserves more recognition, I much prefer the CRA to the chu. I find the fit on the CRA much better, and it has a detachable cable. I did switch out to spring tips since I found the stock tips to be unpleasant.
