I run Roon core on a Mac Mini in my home and I can log in and control the Mini if need be via an iPhone app callled Screens. For controlling Roon I use their dedicated remote app but you need Screens to remote into the Mini and perform Roon updates, deal with app crashes, Mac OS updates, etc...
