How's JVC's FX66?
I rate the FX-66 highly, use them all the time with an iPod. I like the sound and they are comfortable, seal well, shutting out surrounding sounds. Had a lot of trouble with the buds coming off, but swapped them for some off a pair of Sony phones and now no more problems.- Diode100

Low budget: Sennheiser vs. JVC
I have a pair of Fx-66 Air cushions that I got at Heathrow for 20 pounds, i love them, comfortable and fine sounding, although they do seem a bit power hungry to me, i have the volume a lot higher than with previous Sony & Phillips models.- Diode100

JVC Marshmallows V2 are here! Introducing the JVC HA-FX66!
I bought a pair of black & red HA-FX 66's at Heathrow on Sunday, 20 pounds, ($40), having failed to find them on the high street. I'm very pleased with them, comfortable, and the sound seems to be improving all the time. Thanks for the tip.- Diode100

Turtle Beach Audio Advantage Micro
They all seem to rate them very highly, except i'm not sure its the right unit for connecting to a receiver, I'm certain it has only a headphone output, no line or digital out. If you decide to get one, pick up another while your there, and i'll paypal you to airmail it to me in the UK !- Diode100

Anyone bought a Xin amp in the UK?
I think your chances of getting items through at no extra cost are improved if you have them sent regular airmail, rather than UPS or other carrier service. I'm more than a little surprised at the unavailability of most of the equipment mentioned on this forum, I know we are talking about low...- Diode100

Uk Customs charged me £58 for my Imod 5.5 80gb
It's not untypical for the price to be the same in dollars & pounds, $100 translates to 100 pounds, irrispective of where the item was actually manufactured, US, EU, or far east. Even with the added tax & vat, the Imod is still a bargain though, I just don't understand why there isn't someone in...- Diode100

My Imod is with UK Customs. What'll happen next ..?
They are probably trying to work out how much duty & tax to apply, rather than checking the hard drive. They may not charge anything, but if they do, watch out for the carrier slapping on a handling charge. I got a watch from Japan a while ago, customs wanted 22 quid, and royal mail slapped on...- Diode100

Why do iPods sound so bad?
Before my wife's lawyers intervened I listed to stuff through an iPod Photo/Naim62/140 combo/PROAC Tablette set up and the sound was magical, I had a Naim CD3 for hardplay, but theadditional convenience of the iPod won hands down. These days, somewhat down on my luck, I have a 1G nano playing...- Diode100
