    Precog's IEM Reviews & Impressions

When it comes to initial impressions by Crinacle, he gave 5/5 to Tripowin Lea. FH9 only received 4/5. According to the first impressions ratings of Crinacle, 4/5 denotes average and 5/5 is mandatory to be considered at least 'good enough'. I can't talk about other reviewers.

How is the staging and dynamics of the Dioko compared to the Midnight?

    Precog's IEM Reviews & Impressions

Hai Precog, I have the opportunity to get a used Seeaudio Midnight and a new 7hz Dioko for the same price (99$). Which of these two will you recommend? I am looking for a more midrange /vocal lush set as a complement to my 7hz Timeless.

    Precog's IEM Reviews & Impressions

I find that the RU6 pairs very well with the 7hz Timeless in 4.4mm connection in high gain

    Precog's IEM Reviews & Impressions

Precog replied to me and stated that his unit might be suffering from driver variance. Crin had also reached out to Precog stating that there might be an issue with Precog's unit. So my impressions were at least partly correct

    Precog's IEM Reviews & Impressions

Oh!! If I understand this correctly, this puts QC issues as more of a concern for Dioko than I thought of. Driver variance seems baffling. What if an ordinary customer buys a Dioko and gets a unit with driver variance? They won't have the luxury of diagnosing it correctly as reviewers like you...

Seems like even graphs vary.... I was talking based on this graph

    Precog's IEM Reviews & Impressions

My comment was mostly based on his impressions. It is kind of strange if Precog indeed has the Dioko with the correct FR. Dioko (correct version) graphs very similarly to the Yume Midnight also tuned by Crinacle. Precog critiqued Midnight for not being technical enough and here he criticizes the...

    Precog's IEM Reviews & Impressions

I actually have a suspicion whether the unit Precog received is a defective one. Here is a statement from his impressions "Also sounds like a high pass filter has been cranked on the upper-midrange and up which seems to lend to an odd head voice-y quality at times.". One of the noticeable...

    Precog's IEM Reviews & Impressions

I am still reflecting on the Dioko. On the one hand, tuning preferences are subjective and Precog only had a brief time with the Dioko. Similarly, Precog mentions that the Dioko sounds more open than the Timeless. I will buy the Dioko only if it is truly comparable to the Timeless and offers a...

    Precog's IEM Reviews & Impressions

In your ranking list, Dioko has a final score of 3.1 compared to 5.8 of the Timeless. Is the Dioko that much worse than the Timeless or is your score not fixed by now (there is no score in the 'bias' section for Dioko) ? Finally is there any reason to get the Dioko since I already have the...

Reply to review by 'Harisankar' on item 'Cayin RU6 Discrete R-2R USB-C DAC/Amp'

Of course, mp3 is inferior to flac and wav. However, I am yet to convert my whole music library to hires files. So, OS can come in handy for me. Thanks for your reply 👍

So, for flac and such hires files NOS is better but OS is better for mp3 files?

What do you personally prefer out of NOS and OS and which offers wider soundstage? Thanks in advance!

Ok. In that case, I think I got one of the best 'Timeless' out there. Ya, QC is something a lot of chifi seems to have a problem with.

Have you considered the possibility that you got a wrong QC unit of the Timeless? . I myself own the Timeless and I consider it to have above average soundstage and very good imaging. In fact, of all the reviews of this iem I have seen so far (aside from my own experience of owning this iem) ...

The general consensus with regard to planar technology especially with regard to iems was that it is objectively superior to single DD, with the caveat that correct/pleasant is a very difficult objective to accomplish. Reviewed like BGGAR and Crinacle have expressed such opinions and many others...

Hai, Good review! However, Timeless is not the debut product by 7hz. They had released few products before one of which is 7hz i99, a single DD iem. However, Timeless is their first large success

In India , only 3.5mm and 4.4mm options are available. It is ok, however. The BQEYZ one I got is a thicker and more durable cable than the stock and the black colour of the cable complements the iem shell very well.
