I tried NOS mode the other day. I forgot to change it back and have been listening to it this way. I think that I prefer it like that.

I don't have any problem with that. I normally use low gain but every now and then I'll switch over to high gain.

They were talking tubes that are good in the Vali 3 in the Shiit Happens thread this morning. You can catch it if you're quick. That thread moves fast. There are some knowledgeable folks there. And they play together nicely.

That might have been the one that I bought off of eBay not too long ago. The seller said that he had bought a Bottlehead Crack. I've been enjoying it since it came.

My RS2x sounds pretty good with my Vali 3 also.

It is a good amp, and you can get one for a reasonable price. I stepped up to the Vali 3 where the increased voltage to the tube makes it sound better. But the Vali 2++ with an upgraded tube sounds fine. Look for a GE Five Star 5670 or a GE JAN 5670W. Both are solid tubes that you can get for...
