Hi, I have FiiO BTR15 and if I use single ended (wired) it will not use Dual DAC, but just one, i.e., forcing me to use balanced just because of that. Does this happen with DC04 Pro?

A known reviewer tested KA5 with DC04 Pro and the ibasso wins in transparency and detail, even bass is better. Has to do with the power supply implementation and the amplifier.

Wondering if any of you have tried FiiO KA5 with the cirrus logic dacs. I'm probably under minor differences and just spending time and money, but would like to test both equipments side by side.

I've just noticed that the difference is way too big to be just a crossfeed effect. The improvement is from top to bottom, like better low end, stronger and tighter, with more definition, precision, to clarity in general. I think balanced mode is triggered.

It will be refreshing to have another sound improvement :smile:

Yes, it does. But you have to force it with the Fiio Control app. Dual DAC works always in balanced mode, in single ended mode, has to be forced via the app. I think this only works wireless, wired the app will disconnect. You don't need to use single ended. Just get a 4.4mm to 3.5mm adapter...

Still using BTR15, waiting for the arrival of a iBasso DC04 Pro, that is supposed to sound a bit better, but BTR15 have been used more for music listening lately and it still surprises me and bring a smile to my face.
