Focal Hadenys & Azurys Review & Measurements

I wouldn't say Focal "lost their way" with the Radiance. It's a good headphone. These Focals are quite a bit different from their traditional house sound however, so I wouldn't look at them in the same light as the previous offerings.

Yea, this is exactly my problem. ddHiFi has a nice stand I'm considering https://cn.ddhifi.com/en/product/hs210/ but you can't really get the face of the IEM, just a whole body shot. Some of the jewelry stuff has the right idea but yea the ones I've seen are pretty ugly. Do you have any...

Does anyone have any ideas for some nice accessories to showcase your IEMs, kinda like jewelry stand style? Thinking it would be a nice piece in any video reviews similar to a headphone stand. That Canpur stand above looks nice but I can't seem to easily find any like it, at least for a...

Are the inner sections interchangeable/moveable? I'm chucking everything into one of those old Dekoni headphone bags at the moment whenever I go for meets

Focal Hadenys & Azurys Review & Measurements

I just got these in (shameless plug to my inactive audio Insta) and my first impressions are quite similar to Resolve's review here (haven't watched Jude's yet). I'm actually slightly annoyed with how much I agree with Resolve because I watched his video after my first listen and he pretty much...

Unless I'm getting the Ragnar mixed up with another IEM, I'd say the STORM and the Ragnar are quite different altogether and don;t really compare to be honest. The STORM is much more warmer than the Ragnar and doesn't have the ultra sharp treble peaks. I didn't find the Ragnar's bass to be...

Personally, I care less about what drivers are being used and more about how it sounds. DD, BA, planar, bone conduction, it doesn't matter to me. Only the experience matters. The thing that the STORM does better than any IEM is dynamics. When notes land it's just thunderous in a way I've simply...

Oh the answer is simple. It's not mine LOL. I was borrowing it as part of a private tour. I can't afford one :(

Got back from a little meet in Toronto with @dleblanc343 and a few other folks here from the watercooler thread and outside of it. And when I say "little meet", I mean there was a lot of great gear there, including the Subtonic STORM that I handed off. Any way, here are some quick impressions...

    Subtonic STORM: Impressions and Discussion

I think what folks might be annoyed by is that your concerns of marketing psychology, price bias, ABX testing, placebo, etc etc etc. are all very old and tired topics of discussion. It's often the first thing that's brought up with every expensive, highly rated product. I think your concerns are...

XENNS (previously known as Mangird) Impressions Thread

IMO if you're currently running the S12 and the treble doesn't bother you, I would get the Hype 4. I know a lot of people like the Top but I found that it didn't have enough treble brilliance or "sharpness" to define the bass notes. And I would rule the SA6 MkII out. It's very different from the...

Were you having issues with the stock cable and intermittently disconnecting before? Trying to figure out if the issue is a cable specific problem which is what it's looking like to be.

Sennheiser IE900 Review, Measurements, & Harman Target Talk

Thanks for the info... hoping a few others chime in here. I hope it's more of a problem with the cable since that's easy to swap for something like that Linsoul Amber cable. If it's a problem with the IEM itself that would be very unfortunate. Why did Sennheiser create this problem for...

Sennheiser IE900 Review, Measurements, & Harman Target Talk

For those using aftermarket cables with the IE 900, are you having any issues with the MMCX connectors cutting out a bit? On both the IE 600 and IE 900 that I'm using, the sound sometimes cuts out for a split second when I move my head. I can't tell if it's an issue with Sennheiser's MMCX on the...

Sennheiser IE900 Review, Measurements, & Harman Target Talk

Your point on the bass and treble is well taken. I reviewed another IEM just before the IE 900, the Letshuoer S15, with a similar shape in the upper mids. Interestingly, I found myself noticing the issue in the upper mids of the S15 more than the IE 900. Which is not what I'd expect since it...

Sennheiser IE900 Review, Measurements, & Harman Target Talk

Well, when I said "emphasize the clarity around 3 - 4 kHz" I don't mean emphasizing something that wasn't there. This is what I mean: This is the DF HRTF for IEMs where the grey zone describes preference bounds from listener research. If the frequency response of an IEM is outside the grey...

Sennheiser IE900 Review, Measurements, & Harman Target Talk

I just published my own review over at headphones.com so this exact topic is fresh with me. I think the extent to which you'll find the upper mids to be an issue depends on how vocal heavy your music is and how accustomed you are to the tuning of the IE 900 AKA brain burn in. After listening to...

    1. https://www.linsoul.com/products/tripowin-amber you can try this one. People in this thread have had success with it because it fits the IE 900's semi-proprietary MMCX connectors. 2. I personally like AZLA Sednas and Divinus Velvets for the IE 900. But you could also grab some Final E tips...

Please see the full review with frequency response graphs and comparisons to 64 Audio U4s and Sennheiser IE 900 here! Sound When I first heard the Volür, I used the m12 module as I thought it’d be the obvious choice given that it’s specially included with the Volür. Turns out, that was a...

Symphonium Crimson - Impressions and Reviews (The Next Standard)

Honestly, I barely know the configuration of any of the IEMs I review nowadays. I only look them up right before I start writing articles and its generally used just to introduce an IEM. However, I do understand the desire to want to connect the intangible perception of sound to a tangible...
