Audiophile Ninja has good quality pure copper cables that aren't expensive.

I don't have a bass shelf, didn't want to increase bass much further down than the 40hz peak. It's adding 3db of bass at 40hz and tapers down to flat again by 70hz. It adds some needed lower bass without adding any bloat to the mid bass.

I use a Wiim pro plus 4 band PEQ to fix the HD600 quirks/preferences. I adjusted them according to HD600 graphs, and it makes them sound amazing. One of the adjustments is a 3db peak at 40hz, not quite up to flat but a big improvement. If I had a 5th band, I'd use it cut bass off completely...

I've never heard tube gear with headphones, but is supposed to be awesome with HD600's. I will if I get the chance, but with the results of my combo, along with the reliability and maintenance free aspect, I don't see myself switching.

I've owned and heard several higher end headphones. But after hearing the HD600's balanced from a bha-1 amp, I bought a second HD600, 2 extra cables and 4 extra earpads when they were all on sale. But also now have aftermarket 4.4 balanced and xlr cables as well.

The PEQ on the Wiim is only 4 band. I like the way I have it now, but if they can add 1 or more bands in the future, cutting the bass off below 20 or 25hz is exactly what I'd do.

I wasn't overly impressed with the BHA-1 at first, but I like it better after I started using a balanced cable. I'd like to try a BHCs someday if I can get one cheap, it's not the type of equipment I'd pay much money for. I would still also be using EQ with it, so not sure how much or any...

Spent some time setting up the WiiM pro plus 4 band parametric EQ for my 2022 model HD600's, using online measurements as a guide. I'm really liking the way this sounds, for several different genres of music. I don't have the bass boosted quite as much and have the most fatiguing 1-4 khz range...

The balanced cable allowed me to drop my phone volume from 90% down to about 65-70%. It may have also slightly added to detail, and did improve instrument separation. Loving this system.
