Which DAC are you using with your phantom? And have you compared vs other energizers like blue hawai, srm 700t, mjolnir carbon cc, t8000 or lta z10e? Wich difference you can hear?

All that you said, is very alarming for me. I'd pretend to buy one tomorrow, but now, I don't know what to do. Maybe you can write directly to ifi and ask them "What was the problem with your unit?". Because you need an clear explanation why the unit failed.

A question. The solid state stage for headphones in phantom is totally Class A? Does ifi phantom have some active cooling system or is totally passive? because for me is impressive how in that small size they can dissipate all the heat for a 15 watts in class A operation. Mart.

Is not exactly the oratory. Is the oratory eq but less low shelf gain. Harman oratory has to much bass.

I also tried oratory peq in my susvara and sounds terrible. My lcd4 sounds better than susvara with the oratory eq. Maybe we are adding to much distortion to the headphone with this eq.

Today i was playing inverting polarity in my susvara. Actually i can not hear differences. If the music is a combination of negative and positive signals, then the differeces would be just few or in some cases, nothing, i think.
