Same thing happens on macOS. So far, every DAC/AMP I've tried suffered from this. The device goes into some kind of a standby mode and needs a signal to wake up. That usually takes a fraction of a second.

Yeah, my R2 II also likes to act like this from time to time. Less often than it used to, but still.. Hasn't happened to my TempoTec V3, though. Not even once. I hope it's just an incident.

To me, there is. Quite big, actually. G5 didn't sound any better than Tanchjim Space, while Q15 proved to be a nice upgrade.

Well, you could take some time and just check it yourself, cause it's been mentioned here a couple of times. TempoTec V3 runs on a HiBy OS and is capable of somewhat limited streaming from Tidal and Qobuz. Some people had luck with a few internet radios, but that's that. No way to run Spotify...

I put it in the root catalog, meaning: just into the card. Don't create any special folder for it. card_letter:/ {here} Then pick up your V3, go into the settings and choose "Firmware update" - Via SD-card.

Well, consider me a freako, but I've never connected it to any FiiO app. I don't really need to tweak it that much. So I guess that leaves it as "OFF" in the app. ( : Regarding my troublesome experience: After getting "Firmware upgrade finished successfully" and Q15 taking forever to finish...

V1.0 fixed album art not showing up (even though it'd been properly embedded). Before, maybe around 5% tracks worked properly, now it's 95%.

Beware - the upgrade process to v1.82 most likely bricked my Q15. At first it seemed to go well, but at around 70% it showed some kind of an error (stupid me for not saving any screenshot) and asked to disconnect the device, turn it off, then turn it back on, reconnect it and run the update...

Not being able to update via Mac or any mobile device should also be addressed.
