I'd say it's not mixed at all. They both personally don't recommend the headphone. I think it's going to be another polarizing Meze headphone like the OG Empyrean where some people really enjoy it and others hate it.

No problem. It's a phenomenal price for them. HiFiMan won't charge that much to replace the drivers with V2 or V2 Stealth drivers and they driver match both sides so the buyer could come away with a great price on a new sounding unit.

My favorite as well. I’ve owned all three and vastly prefer the V2. Good buy for someone looking for one of the best headphones that HiFiMan have made. Good luck with your sale!

This is an HE1000V1. HiFiMan didn’t make any V2’s in 2.5mm. You can also tell by the screen material on the grille as well as the gimbal slider. The font on the slider is also V1 along with the grille. All parts are from a V1.

Good to know. I find it weird that the Liric and Empyrean are no longer sold by Meze. You would think they would want to continue with their entire product lineup with such differences in tuning between the first and second iterations.
