Is there a song limit when it comes to playlists made through the Walkman app? The Linux-based Walkmans only let you make playlists with up to 999 tracks, I was wondering if it's the same with the Android models.

Does anybody happen to know if this player lets you make playlists with 1000+ tracks? The A55 doesn't let you add tracks past 999 so I was wondering if that limitation was removed here.

Would anybody happen to know how to delete SensMe/12 Tone Analysis info? I like using the feature but unfortunately I have a bunch of film soundtracks which got scanned and I'd rather not have them come up.

Would like to let MrWalkman know that the RMT-NWS10B works just as well on the A55 with his CFW as it does on a stock player. I think you can edit the FAQ on your site which mentions that only the RMT-NWS20 works. And many thanks for this CFW of course, the WM1Z tuning is super pleasing.

I've personally also had good experience with Sony, specifically their American branch. I sent in an under warranty A45 which developed some audio issues and I just got a brand new A55 in exchange.

Yeah I hope there isn't some sort of pseudo-lottery. It'd really suck to be spending $400+ on importing an electronic just to get what are seemingly defective units. I feel for those already affected.

Right I've seen that, but you can find numerous reviews and anecdotes regarding the ZX500 and how it failed to come to close to it's own advertised runtimes. The same could totally happen here. Will it? I don't really think so but as with anything it's best to wait for impressions.

It almost borders on ugly, but I do wonder how it will feel in the hand. The colors are also disappointing, but oh well. There might be some collaboration models so I guess I'll just wait for those to be announced.

It might be a bit too early to be saying that. A large part of the reason the current entry/mid tier Walkman's have poor battery lives is due to their i.MX 8M Mini Quad SoC. Said SoC constantly runs at 1.2 GHz. This is a good Japanese blogpost about it, it's worth reading through Google...

This is a good video on changing the language on stock firmware. I'm not too sure if you can already change the language with MrWalkman's firmware, but if not then you can easily revert it to stock. If you can change it then this should lead you to the right options anyhow.

This is pretty disingenuous, people like long battery lives because it means they don't have to deal with charging as often. People aren't fooling themselves into thinking they'll do some 20 hour listening session lol, they just don't wanna have to plug in their player as often as say their phones.

Has anybody connected these to a non-Android Walkman? I was wondering if you could activate the ANC and transparency modes or turn them off through tapping the earbuds alone.

Does anybody here have some personal anecdotes over battery life after debloating their player? Some people in that reddit post report some pretty big improvements for their A100's, I was wondering if anybody here did the same with their ZX500.

Will this save any custom EQ settings you make on the app and still apply them when connected to other devices? For example if I set a custom EQ on the Fiio app on my phone, disconnect the two, and then connect the BTR3K to my Walkman will the EQ settings remain?

It works with mp3, and the A55 is a slight upgrade over the A45 so it's gonna be the same.

FWIW this player is going for $149 right now on Amazon and Best Buy, I assume thanks to the A50 series being out. If you don't care for the Bluetooth receiver, smoother UI, and "vinyl processor" of the A50 series it might be worth getting. My A45 is coming in tomorrow, definitely excited to try...

Does this player read the "Composer" tag and sort music with it?
