FiiO FH5 - Quad Driver Hybrid In-Ear Monitors || Knowles Balanced Armature Drivers

I discovered Azla sednafit eartips a few months back and wouldn't use anything else. I have them on my FH5's, WF-1000XM4's and BGVP DM6's and haven't wanted to change to anything else. Sorry if this has made the decision harder!

Beyerdynamic DT-1770: Product Info, Discussion and Impressions

Great choices I'm sure but neither portable. This on the other hand does interest me. Does need to offer a balanced output though.

Beyerdynamic DT-1770: Product Info, Discussion and Impressions

So, can anyone recommend a good, portable and balanced amp/dac to drive the Dt's well. Currently using a FiiO Q5 on high gain, and although they sound great, I'm at max volume and still comfortable listening. I can't help but think a bit more power would really make these sing. Was looking at...

    Android: Neutron Music Player

Thanks for this. Rewind Track % isn't actually that self explanatory to be fair. It could just as easily mean how far back it actually rewinds.....

High power portable dac/amp with balanced output to drive custom Dt 1770 pro's

Yeah, im considering it. I am an unashamed fan of a bass boost, so i may be inclined to agree with Zeos's opinions there. But it is tempting. Also interested in the Ifi Idsd Signature, but it may be stretching portability though. Definitely powerful enough at 4100mw @32ohm..

High power portable dac/amp with balanced output to drive custom Dt 1770 pro's

So this is basically a request for suggestions on a portable amp/dac combo that will give me a bit more juice through my Beyers. Im currently using a Fiio Q5, which i think is fantastic, and a real steal for the money. But i can't help but feel that the 1770's would benefit from a bit more...

    2.5mm balanced jack

For IEM'S, there's lots of places you can get inexpensive, good quality 2.5mm terminated cables. Try Aliexpress, Amazon, Penon Audio, Linsoul, to name but a few. As for your Sundaras, you'll probably need something custom made. Try Oidio Sound or Custom Cans. They've both been fabulous with me...

@jfunk is the one to answer this. Why don't you email them and ask?

FiiO Q1MKII- Native DSD Support, XMOS USB DAC chip, DAC AK4452, 20 hours

They definitely do very good cables for Android use. However, i haven't seen a lightning variant, but then again, i haven't looked. But Penon Audio definitely do a good range of usb cables

    OIDIO SOUND Impressions Thread

I've just received my Pellucid-Plus cable for the Beyerdynamic dt 177x Go today. I actually have custom dt 1770 pro's, not the Massdrop version, but the cable works perfectly nonetheless. So far, so good. Feels very well made and looks great. Wanted something a little more compact for mobile...

USB Audio Player PRO (UAPP): 24- and 32-bit playback, ubiquitous USB audio support for Android

Exactly. Found these 2 work very well with a portable set-up, are good quality and are nice and compact:

USB Audio Player PRO (UAPP): 24- and 32-bit playback, ubiquitous USB audio support for Android

I found it hard to find a small usb cable that didn't charge my dac/amps using Android, but as the Topping is mains powered, you'll have no such problems

USB Audio Player PRO (UAPP): 24- and 32-bit playback, ubiquitous USB audio support for Android

🤣🤣🤣🤪 Ok cheers. I seriously don't want to upset anyone. I know it would never happen, but if the devs from PowerAMP, Neutron and UAPP got together and produced an app utilising all the best aspects of each..... I'd happily pay for that... (covid madness at 100%..)

USB Audio Player PRO (UAPP): 24- and 32-bit playback, ubiquitous USB audio support for Android

If your comment is directed, among others, at my posts then i sincerely apologise. Its not my intention, or ever has been, to derail or segway the original point of this topic. What is it that you think this post should be discussing regards UAPP? And i shall refrain from making further...

USB Audio Player PRO (UAPP): 24- and 32-bit playback, ubiquitous USB audio support for Android

My post wasn't intended to bash UAPP, quite the opposite. I was just trying to show to others there ARE other high quality audio options, especially if, like me, you still like old-skool, storage based music listening. And the lack of auto play upon BT connection just annoys me. Also, i...

USB Audio Player PRO (UAPP): 24- and 32-bit playback, ubiquitous USB audio support for Android

+1 for Onkyo HF. Very slick and nice interface and as competent as the others we have mentioned. If i didn't EQ, It would probably be a toss up between this and UAPP. But it does have a very quirky and not very intuitive eq, so it loses half a star for me. For me the fact that you can't look...

USB Audio Player PRO (UAPP): 24- and 32-bit playback, ubiquitous USB audio support for Android

While i agree with everything you say, to say that UAPP is the "Gold standard" is a bit biased. Neutron is probably still the ultimate audiophile music player, has bit perfect playback, follow source frequency, Dsd playback, and everything you could wish for to play music how you'd like. Sure...

USB Audio Player PRO (UAPP): 24- and 32-bit playback, ubiquitous USB audio support for Android

Ha-Ha, i apologise. It was late last night... Lol. But you're right. If we're talking phones only, then im sure the LG V series have very good built-in dacs, but using apps like UAPP, Neutron, etc with external dac/amps, the whole point is for the software to bypass any possible OS limitations...

    2.5mm balanced jack

Of course, you're right, my mistake. It was late when i replied!! . If im not mistaken, isn't it the same 3 pin mini xlr as my 1770's would of had as standard? In which case, you're right, you'd need them converted to something like a 4-pin mini xlr, and then look at a company like Oidio Sound...

USB Audio Player PRO (UAPP): 24- and 32-bit playback, ubiquitous USB audio support for Android

I have a Note 9, and i can assure you that it easily sends 24/192 hi-res and better via UAPP, Neutron, etc. Heck, even my Xperia X compact sends hi-res to my Q5, and that handset is a couple of years old now. In this circumstance, its down to the software and the external dac/amp connected. If...

    2.5mm balanced jack

You can buy 2.5mm balanced cables really inexpensively. I have all my iem's converted, and i think the most I've paid is £50, but I've bought from £30, and been perfectly satisfied. You can get good 2.5mm cables from £15....
