Well, normal amplifiers might work but most probably they will not be able to drive the 701 to its fullest.

I second the Senn HD201 and KSC 75.

I think the Govibe will not be able to drive the K701 to its fullest. Well this is the start of endless circle. Headphones --> amps --> sources --> headphones --> amps --> repeat to infinity.

I must say that PK-3 is much better than the X3.. I like it more than the X3.. especially after 100 hours burn in or more.

I'm using the mylar three with a Cowon D2. Cowon D2 is a really good mp3 player. The crossroads mylarthree shines with it. I never try with an amp though so I can't give a comparison.

I agree with jlingo. The isolation from mylar three (standard tips) is really bad.
