Sony IER-M9 impressions thread
I honestly hate these, they addictive to that point that i have to control how often i listen to them, like micro dosing crack. 3 weeks on and this is the best set of IEMs i have ever owned- Medikill

Sony IER-M9 impressions thread
I've had the Z1R before, yes the bass was great (one of the best DD on the market), but the recessed mids and silibant highs aren't worth the trade off imo. There's a case to be made that the M9 is on par with a differnet sound sig.- Medikill

Sony IER-M9 impressions thread
After pretty much not taking these off for the last 2 days - at the detriment to my anatomy study, i've put up the fastest review i've done and retracted stars from my other IEM reviews, as these are the new TOTL benchmark for me...- Medikill

Review by 'Medikill' on item 'Sony IER-M9 In-ear Monitor Headphones'
Preamble: The Sub 1k IEM market is one which has heated up ferociously in the last few years. Especially with the likes of Chi Fi manufacturers getting traction and even starting their own cult house SQ etc. Makes finding a good bang:sound IEM increasingly difficult. I have been on this...- Medikill

Sony IER-M9 impressions thread
Agree x2 on the power aspect, driven off 3.5mm (even though they are rated at 20 ohms) via MBP they sound meh, then with the E1DA 4.4 driven to 75% volume - Wow, just simply wow. Their SQ responds linearly to amperage. EDIT: And to add, as a self confessed bass head, i was worried these would...- Medikill

SONY IER-Z1R
Anyone have any thoughts on the M9 vs the Z1R , i previously owned the Z1R - couldn't get a good fit and couldn't tolerate the highs - but the bass, man, ooft. Willing to comprimise on the bass if the M9 is similiar in other aspects- Medikill

For example Glamorous by fergie, the lines just after she spells out glamorous sound very harsh. seems to be mainly female vocals Might be me then, had a similar problem with the ier z1r and had to sell those :/- Medikill

ISN Earphones impression thread. New ISN NEO 3!
People with H40's, does it have a lot of harshness and shrill in the upper mids/highs? They sound really good otherwise, thinking i my have got a defective unit?- Medikill

ISN Earphones impression thread. New ISN NEO 3!
Just got a pair of the H40's sounds excellent. Best of what i've heard in a long time - reminds me of the tia trio but with a funner sound sig and better sounstage, though bit of harshness in the 6k region, will do full review.- Medikill

i have the Audeze sine (the one with the lightning connector) the Max sound substantially better, that’s why I didn’t even bother comparing them- Medikill

I’m my opinion they are better than the cascades and on par with the LCD2C through an E30 and atom - getting fed the same Apple Music files. Can’t comment on the AFC2- Medikill

On par with the Audeze In most aspects. Again the technicalities are better on the Audeze. But yes so far a very good set.- Medikill

Alright got my hands on them. A/B’d against the campfire cascades and Audeze LCD 2 the max has better separation and vastly better sound stage. No silibance. As others have said mid bass over sub bass. Vocals a bit veiled The cascades have better sub bass. APM is better than the CA cascades...- Medikill

Keep in mind that apple is a $2 trillion + company. They can quite literally buy all the headphone manufacturers on earth and then some. People were talking crap about the airpods pro - until they turned out to be damn good. Same with the lightning to 3.5 dongle which at $9 puts most...- Medikill

Anyone else feeling that the mid to low price bracket IEM market has a ridiculous amount of good options? Really draws into question what the production cost of the $2k ones are ( number audio ... new york ears .. if you catch my drift)- Medikill

I agree mate, these sound better the more i listen to them. Not sure about more mids coming through, but definitely more highs coming through. The Seperation is also improving... Very strange.- Medikill
