Agree m11 pro was first device they found good thx sound receipt and later it was better and better. But even today some reviewers thinks thx is not comparable to class A or similar amps. But i like current thx anyway, i haven't heard it in small devices as KA17 or BTR7, but believe it is good also.

in my opinion, because first THX implementations was not very good and with these amps sound was more lifeless and not engaging or had no musicality with more analytical character. So compared to price and other technologies it was not very good but later thx and especially fiio implemented thx...

If it is your first real higher tier dap then you should reach nirvana definately. Will look for your comments on that. ;)

Looking at k9 akm, it should be similar akm sound with smoother a little warmer tuning versus ess. I know it even there is no reviews yet. Nothing new. Other than that similar to m11 plus.

Both not cheap but m11 plus older and pricier.

Haven't heard dx260 but i believe it should be somehow better, only i should add that dx240 i only liked with latest amp 8 mk2s, everything what was before was step down in tuning and in technicalities so comparing it with any other dap i think worth only with this amp. To have max potential...

I don't know where this terrible software experience comes using dx 240. I am using it long time and newer had any problems with software. Everything just works the same as 320. streaming or mango player or any other - just perfect. Also it is build really good and definitely not cheap, only...

Ok, definitely worth at its price. I like it the most from what i heard from fiio. But if money was not important r9 is best sounding for sure, better than any their device but price also not the smallest.
