Lost in a sea of information, noob question about headphone amps.

There is so much data on this forum. I have to admit it's a bit intimidating knowing where to really start. Lots of people in our society think that "buying the most expensive" is the best thing to do. However, I am not sure about headphone amps. I have a set of Grados and a HIFIMAN HE-4XX...

I am still using the factory foam on the SR80s. Wondering what you all would suggest for a upgrade on comfort / sound. Not looking to spend a ton of money on them. Just curious. Thanks!

Thanks! I appreciate the compliment! I am really just getting started. I have made stuff for years for friends and what not. My friends finally convinced me to put some of my work for sale :). So I am giving it a shot. Thanks again, Riley

Here are my custom grado's. This is made from spalted cherry. I started an etsy store selling these and some others if anyone is interested. Mostly just to re-coop the time I put into modeling and toolpath generation :) Riley

    Grado Woodies

Thanks! I have some more going onto my etsy store here in the next few days. I also got some Bog Oak (5k year old wood) and am eager to try making cups out of it!

What headphones would you like to see custom wood cups for?

I have been making custom Grado cups now for a bit and have got pretty good at it. Using some locally awesome wood here in Maryland I do try to create cups that are not run of the mill plain Jane stuff. That being said, I am relatively knew to the headphone scene and was wondering, if you guys...

    Grado Woodies

Here are a set of cups I made for my grados. They turned out pretty good. Been a long time lurker here and have not posted enough to list an add however I do have an etsy store if anyone is interested in getting a pair. I have a bunch of local woods I have been experimenting with and they...

A hello and show and tell.

Yah they are SR80 drivers. I am at the point where I am adjusting my design to let more air though. Its a bit of guess and check at the moment. Short of me building a air testing rig. Might get to that but for now I will just re laser cut and try :)

A hello and show and tell.

@buke9 thanks. Its actually spalted Tamarind. It can be hit or miss on that stuff. I agree it looks awesome and I like the dark semi transparent plexiglass look with it. Its a little bit more of a risk since some of it can be brittle but it does turn out awesome. I have a friend with...

A hello and show and tell.

Hello everyone, I am new to audio stuff and am just getting started. That being said I have been making things for most of my life. I saw some grado headphones and thought I could make them look (and hopefully) sound better. So below is my design I have made. I think I am going to...
