Beyerdynamic Xelento!
I actually find the 1st gen too be more too my preferences with it's pure unrestrained rawness and edginess. The 2nd gen is more smoothed out/refined/matured not as exciting in my opinion because it's less 'edgy' now. They took away some of the fun factor for sure. Also it's just a tad bigger so...- Chessblitzer2017

Beyerdynamic Xelento!
Is very nice I agree the Twilight has the Monster engaging detailed midrange I wish the Xelento always had truly astonishing. And that goes for both gens which I've own. Only issue for me was unfortunately the nozzles were tough too get a proper comfortable seal with and just the overall...- Chessblitzer2017

Hiby FC6 - another R-2R USB dongle
I didn't like this dongle at all listening too my Xelento everything was too forward in your face and too much richness no soundstage. Take my dco3 all day over it and the dull lifeless w2. Just being frank, was very disappointed with it sent back too musictek. Maybe that's just how r2r is...- Chessblitzer2017

The iBasso Dongle DAC Thread – DC03 Pro | DC04 Pro | DC06 Pro | DC Elite | ...
I have 3 of them just in case brother.... It's truly all you'll ever need I thought some of these newer hyped ones would be better just too be dissapointed. Nope wanted too throw fc6 which had no soundstage and way to in your face rich. I even prefer it over the "balanced" dc04pro I heard at a...- Chessblitzer2017

The iBasso Dongle DAC Thread – DC03 Pro | DC04 Pro | DC06 Pro | DC Elite | ...
I prefer the original dc03 too the dc03 pro, w2(which i thought was dull and sucked quite frankly) and the hiby fc6 (was way too rich and full). The original ibasso dc03 has a truly unique wonderful engaging vocals/midrange velvety musicality too it. I think it's a cs dac too. The others I've...- Chessblitzer2017

Hiby FC6 - another R-2R USB dongle
Well I'm afraid the vocals are not forward or emotive I can not feel them/become one with them. They are like another user said "laid back" back there so I just hear the music, do not feel it/get goosebumps. In fact, everything but the vocals seems forward so I have too crank the music too...- Chessblitzer2017

Hiby FC6 - another R-2R USB dongle
Im about too pull the trigger on this. It was between this and dc03 pro but seen a guy say this makes that seem dull/tame. Has anyone tried with Xelento? I listen too vocal deep house and want emotive forward vocals, weighted notes/instruments and open soundstage and this seems from everything...- Chessblitzer2017

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best
The dc02 is not an exciting/colored/fun sound. Wish there was more excitement personally but hey. It's more the every note has decent weight smooth quality space/headroom type ordeal. Is clearly superior too the hidzs s3 in every facet. This rooks 2 cents.- Chessblitzer2017
