It's actually 2.4 ghz wifi that messes with it. Switch to a 5ghz wifi signal and it will work better and scale up as it should.

maybe have a look at this: Using adaptive, wifi on a non 2.4 ghz or off, and screen off, no issues. Even with screen on it hops to 990 most of the time now. You can easily see what bitrate it is playing at from the blinking speed of the blue LED...

yeah, the btr5 has potential but for now I think I might stick with the es100 till the qudelix lands. The app on the radsone just edges the scales in favour for me and I made a promise to myself not to keep both :-) Going to miss it, but will return it. Thanks for all your helpful posts guys...

please see the post above yours, it clearly states you have a 10 band equaliser, nowhere does it mention it won't work on ldac or usb. You should make this clear for potential buyers. yeah, btr3, the btr5 is their new product and is marketed as the next step up, so one would assume the information of a different device does not apply ;-)

hmm, if that's true I might return it. They should make that clear on their product page, as at the moment they advertise it as having an equaliser, they should make it clear it doesn't work on LDAC or when using as an USB DAC. The radsone es100 has no problem with this on LDAC, I would think...

100 percent sure it does on mine, I use different equaliser presets for different headphones/iems and they all give me different sound on es100. I can immediately notice if I got the headphone preset still set when I pop my iems into the es100 and use ldac exclusively on that puppy.

It does support LDHC but only if you use the official fiio music app, which is why I don't use it ;-) The app sucks in comparison to neutron or poweramp. They still have quite some bugs to iron out, but overall my btr5 and es100 are both on my desk and in my backpack permanently, can't decide...

no, ldac and usb equaliser both don't work. Bit dissapointing, the es100 still has a plus over the btr5 I feel. Mainly due to the better app and full eq control

I've got the btr5 and the es100, the app is what makes them different, also fiio eq doesn't work in ldac or USB dac which is very disappointing.

I've just played with it a tad more, it works on all codec up to aptx-hd, anything higher and it won't work. USB won't work, LDAC won't work. Hope they fix this soon, that's a major flaw at this point in my eyes.
