At the time, I think I was listening through a Schiit Yggdrasil, using the balanced outputs. Part of the reason I mention this is that I believe the Yggdrasil has somewhat higher output than other DACs. I don't have specifics or anything at hand, but I think there's some data on this out there.

I don't think it's a ground loop either. Where did you find the feet you're using? As I mentioned, the feet I've come across generally aren't very tall, usually 7/8" or less.

Which R2R DAC are you using with your GSX? With respect to the Yggdrasil, I'm a little concerned about brightness between it an the GSX. Some–perhaps all–of this can be addressed with headphone selection. Have you found this to be a problem with your GSX/DAC?
