The Continuation Of The Sony Walkman 1Z/1A Thread!
I’ve just bought a brand new iPad Pro M4, can anyone shed any light why I can’t get my WM1A to work as a DAC with it? I’m using the Walkman cable and a USB A to USB C adaptor and the iPad just isn’t detecting the Walkman at all. It’s the same for both my WM1A and A45 and 2 different cable...- Dtuck90

On my A45 I’m sure there’s a setting where the Hold button only affects the physical buttons but allows the screen to be used regardless- Dtuck90

Bowers&Wilkins new flagship the P9!
The leather that’s covering the foam on the headband of my set has started to come away, B&W support told me they can’t fix it, any ideas what I could do to fix it?- Dtuck90

Sony Walkman custom firmware (non-Android)
I've run stock revert and reinstalled stock firmware, and then installed the new version of Walkman One but on the settings file J3 isn't listed? In fact I'm not able to change any settings in the text file as it says the file is locked. EDIT: checking the text file after a reboot seems to...- Dtuck90

Sony WF-1000XM4 Impressions Thread
So today I’ve decided to change my connection settings to LDAC (connection preferred) rather than sound quality preferred. I think the only difference is that the bit rate switches between 660 and 990 kbps based on signal strength? Haven’t had a single dropout yet and I’ve been listening for a...- Dtuck90

I have dropouts occur when using LDAC with my Sony A45. But I think it’s more to do with the weak signal from the Walkman rather than a problem with the headphones. AAC from iPhone/iPad not a problem at all- Dtuck90

You need 200 hours at least of burn in with the WM1A so the sound will constantly be changing. I was still noticing changes up until about 600 hours but most of it happens in the first 200- Dtuck90

I think I’ve settled on my sweet spot. Neutral, MX3, Plus V2, alternate DAC. I switched from TW region as I found it was making vocals sound processed at times- Dtuck90

I found WM1Z was too relaxed for my tastes. So I’m on to bright, E, alternate DAC enabled. I may try neutral at some point and see how that feels- Dtuck90

I find switching to the alternate DAC initiation really adds to the holographic nature of the soundstage on both normal and Plus V2 mode- Dtuck90
