by the way, has anyone figured out a way to root this phone? I am planning to use it as my In-Car Andriod Auto device now ... Can't fully utilize the apps unless it is rooted.

Damn .. i should have opened it up myself too .. I had the same issue as you, sent mine back to Onkyo HK for repairs .. Unit was sent back during Jan 2020, received my phone back in July 2020 ... 6 months of delay due to the chaos and Covid ...

Thanks for your help. After several weeks of email communication with HK, my granbeat is finally on its way to HK for repair. Hopefully it won't take weeks for it to come back to me with a brand new battery.

anyone knows the customer support email address which I can contact? My CM-X1's battery is now bloated ... i need to get the battery replaced. This model is not available in Singapore, thus I can't bring this to the local authorized deailer ... :(

Anyone knows how to activate VoLTE on the Onkyo DP-CMX1? Been trying several means but couldnt get the VoLTE toggle to appear in settings...

anyone manage to root the dp-cmx1 yet? I have tried most of the root options found in XDA but none of them work for the Granbeat. If anyone has manage to do so, please share the steps. :)

Thanks guys for the recommendation. Based on the reviews, both of them indeed are within my liking. I love natural and warm sound signature with smooth treble. Hopefully both are available in Singapore so that I can do a test drive. :)
