Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread
What would you say is the margin of difference between HD580 and HD600? If you can, give me specific tracks where you can hear something on HD600 that you won't notice on HD580. or vice versa. Preferably, while both are being driven by an amp.- NOSAudiophile

Could you possibly put this advanced search function as a button on every forum bar? Without looking for this particular thread, I'd never have found that function on the website. Good luck and thanks!- NOSAudiophile

Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread
It's very easy to find the price just do a search on google. the condition looks very good to me and the price is very good. If it sounds fine I'd keep it. If you want a new one get a new one.- NOSAudiophile

Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread
I just got my hands on a gently used HD580 that is in great shape. I was surprised that my HTC One M9 drove it fine. I plugged it into my Denon 3802 receiver which has very good audio and was a $1800 receiver in its day. It has comparable sound to my Creek Audio 5350SE, but is just a tad...- NOSAudiophile

Actually, Cat 5 cables have been used as DIY speaker cables for DECADES now and not new. You can go check out many hi-fi forums for this. It will improve upon the cheapest of stock cables.- NOSAudiophile

Yes I agree. there are no "advanced" search options. It seems searches cant' be restricted anymore. That makes looking for information tedious on a huge forum site like this.- NOSAudiophile

New Head-Fi Update
The update is horrible. It locked my account IMMEDIATELY for typing in a mistaken password. When I tried to reset, it took HOURS before I received a reset email. This does NOT LOOK GOOD.- NOSAudiophile

New Dragonfly Black and Red Discussion
I recently got this second hand. Plugged it into my desktop PC. It actually sounded WORSE than my stock sound card. And I can't remember what soundcard I used, but it was not an expensive one. Is there anything I can do or need to do to make it work better? I tried updating driver. says it's...- NOSAudiophile

[2021 Update] Venture Electronics (VE) Monk V2, Monk Plus & Monk Go: a $5 earbud that taking the world by storm!!!
No I wear mine with the pads off too. It's a very BIG earbud. My ears begin to hurt if I listen to them for more than 30 minutes. This and the lack of isolation means their usability is very low. The sound is ok, nothing world crazy like so many people are talking about here. It needs to be...- NOSAudiophile

Suggest here: Best of budget TUBE / HYBRID amps <=$100 that deliver tight bass, enough details through out frequency range, lush vocals
I am just venturing back into audio again after years of absence. I was an audio aficionado of sorts and had multiple sets of speakers, sources, and amps back in the day, including at least one SS and one tube amp always. I currently run my digital music through my Denon HT receiver but misses...- NOSAudiophile

OMG you just gave me a horrible flash back from my days of audio equipment addiction... thousands spent upgrading every link in the chain LOL. That was one of the things. to be honest they are not that expensive, and both are highly resalable. If you are classical musician you know the value of the equipment and what they resell for. Get both, second hand preferrable and they are burned in already for you. See if they synergize well with the equipment you have...- NOSAudiophile

I am doing an exhaustive research of headphones and this is on my list of cans to get. Since I don't own either of these two, I will give you a professional reviewer who does. Ken Rockwell said of the two you're looking at: "get the DT 880 for enjoying music, and possibly the K702...- NOSAudiophile

New hybrid amp by Little Dot, I+
How are these with superlux HD668B, or low impedence DT990 premium? I'm looking to listen to a little tubey sound at a budget price now and then, and would like it to warm up colder analytical sounding phones without losing the bottom end control. I'm hoping these would give me that answer!- NOSAudiophile
