iFi micro iDSD Black-Label - In-Depth Review
Oh I do, be assured. It was just the "glitch" of not using the unit much in turbo, and forgetting it drains the battery. Everything's back to normal now.- George Taylor

iFi micro iDSD Black-Label - In-Depth Review
Yeah, update it charged up and is fine again. I guess I just never really pushed it in the turbo setting as long as I did the last few days.- George Taylor

iFi micro iDSD Black-Label - In-Depth Review
OK, quick question. I have my Black Label connected to my pc all the time, don't really use it as a mobile device. Recently (the last 2 days) I have been running it in turbo mode. Got a pair of the DT-880 600 ohm and felt I would need the turbo to power them. Anyway, the power just cut out on...- George Taylor

Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO - Beyer's open-back mastering headphone
You can bend the headband out if clamp is too much. I know it was on mine. My only suggestion is do it gently and slowly at first. The first time I did mine I over did it a little and have never been able to get them back to a "happy space" yet. They're not bad, just a tiny bit looser than I...- George Taylor

Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO - Beyer's open-back mastering headphone
Jeez, now you got me looking for my serial number. 07548 here. Still love my 1990s. They are the "high end" out of the headphones I currently own. Mid-fi to most I suppose, but I owned other more expensive sets. And these hit the mark for me.- George Taylor

[FiiO FH1S] Dual Driver Hybrid (DD & Knowles BA) Earphones
I guess several of us received our pairs on the same day. Will try a simple write up here, not into doing a full review. First, are they worth the price? Eh, kind of. They look great, the packaging is also great for the under $100 market. And for the most part they sound very nice. I find the...- George Taylor

Blon in ear monitors impressions thread
Shame they stopped making them, I find those to be very attractive. At least in this photo, although to be honest they have looked better than I expected in most.- George Taylor

What Are You Listening To Right Now?
Mainly listening to the version of Tarkus on this. There's a point in the song around the 18:30 mark where Carl Palmer starts having a drum clinic. Honestly it makes me think of Danny Carey in a way. He's just going through so many tasty fills while Keith Emerson is noodling away on the keys. I...- George Taylor

One thing I can say about the GuideRay is that for a change I didn't switch out the tips on them yet. Nor do I feel the need to. They are eminently comfortable as is out of the box. And yes, I really like the sound of them as well.- George Taylor

Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO - Beyer's open-back mastering headphone
Honestly, when I first got mine I preferred the B pads. Thought the A's were just too analytical/clean. Went with the B's for a solid 6 months, got bored and went back to the A's. And haven't switched back since. I've never had a problem with the treble (I am not a youngster, so I may have...- George Taylor

Chinese / Asian Brand IEM Info Thread
My GuideRay GR-I58's arrived today. Initial impressions are positive. However, I'm dealing with a cold and my hearing is not up to snuff. So I couldn't give a real impression on them if I wanted to. They sound pleasant, but my stuffy head is making them and everything else I listen to sound dull...- George Taylor
