Having an issue with the supplied 3.5mm jack adapter not wanting to remain in place in my Cayin C5. Have other sets of phones with standard 3.5mm jacks that click in place with no problem. Anyone else come across this or have a solution to the problem?

Thanks! I got a set of Brainwavz HM5 velour pads and a set of tapered Brainwavz sheepskin for the Th-X00's. I may go back and order sheepskin for the SZ2K's also. Have you heard of the velour affecting the way the bass hits on the SZ's?

That's true. The ear pads have roughly the same diameter, but the depth and the way the SZ2K's are tapered is what may have made the TH-X00's look so much bigger. The SZ2K's are actually quite a bit deeper. Here's a side shot for comparison of the cups.  

First impression is that at the same settings through the Cayin C5 the SZ2K's are louder and hit noticeably harder than the TH-X00's. Both have great bass response. The TH-X00's may be a little bit cleaner sounding and provide a nice warm sound with an enjoyable ear and cheek vibration tickle...

Absolutely. I did get a kick out of that black satin box liner. Nice touch by JVC. I'm getting more of a kick out of the sound of these awesome headphones and a not so quiet night in between my ears.

I just got my set of SZ2000's today and I've been giving 'em a go for the last little while through a Cayin C5. I'm loving the bonus face massage that comes every time the bass drops. My ultra-technical first impression of the cans after just a few hours: Day-yum.

I almost posted this in the extreme bass thread, but I have a general question for folks. I've been listening to my mahogany TH-X00's through my macbook and a JDS labs O2 amp. I'm happy with the clarity and separation of the sound, but I'm finding that the treble while very crisp and clean is...

Finally got my set of mahogany TH-X00s plugged in tonight and I'm smiling from ear to ear.

Ok man. You and a bit of reading convinced me. Just pulled the trigger on the C5. Hopefully it and the SZs will arrive around the same time.

Ok. Thanks. It looks like I can pick up a C5 for just over $100, so I might just try that option. I was looking at the Schiit Magni 2 Uber, but since the inputs are RCA only I would have to run a RCA to USB converter, which is just a bit more expensive, but has a good bit of power, but way less...

Thanks for the info. Right now I don't have a home system so I am running everything through my Mac or my iPhone. I've been looking at getting a DAP for when I'm on the go. What amp would you recommend to drive the SZs through the Mac for the best bass experience?

Just got a set of JVC HA-SZ2000 online. Already excited to feel the rumble in my brain from 'em when they get here.  

I saw this posted on the first page of the thread, but never saw an answer. Maybe I missed it. Was there ever an answer as to the actual output impedance?
