Intime SORA: Giant killer IEMs from Japan?
I bought the Intime Sora Midnight in Japan this year. It seemed like a fun W-shaped IEM to me. I found that on my example, it is hard to get a proper fit. Many times I find that after forming a seal no sound can be heard (possibly driver flex). I am now using a triple flange tip with a fairly...- Ofenlicht

Warbler Audio's Prelude CIEM- a labour of love
That's adding a whole lot of treble. Can you describe how you arrived at this EQ? What was the process?- Ofenlicht

Warbler Audio's Prelude CIEM- a labour of love
Being a fan of the Etymotic ER4S single BA driver IEM, I am curious if anyone has compared the two and how the prelude stacks up to the ER4S.- Ofenlicht

What you experienced is perspective. Your opinion on a product will not only vary based on your ear's physical properties and preferences but also what reference points and experiences you have.- Ofenlicht

You should clarify when you do that. It's disingenuous to not only take parts out of context but also summarise something and present it like a quote.- Ofenlicht

Don't know where you're quoting "no bass" from as I can't seem to find it in the review.- Ofenlicht

I have not tried the M70x, I own the M50x though. As I said I mainly listened through my Dragonfly Red. JM-Plus is awesome. The staff is really nice and they have a huge selection and a few comfy couches where you can relax, try some headphones or IEMs and get a milk tea from their bar. ...- Ofenlicht

Listened to the ATH-SR9 for a couple hours. Here are my impressions copied from the thread I posted in /r/headphones: Introduction: The ATH-SR9 is Audio Technica's new entry in the closed-back portable headphone market. It is now the top model of their Sound Reality line above the...- Ofenlicht

NEW Audio Technica Multiple BA IEM: ATH LS50,70,200,300,400
Hey guys. I went back and had another, more thorough listen and posted my full impressions on /r/headphones. I thought some of you might be interested so here they are: PICTURE Introduction: I recently had the chance to listen to the ATH-LS200 dual BA IEM for a few hours which was released...- Ofenlicht

That sucks. Can you post pictures for reference? EDIT: My bad, totally read over the part of "later tonight". Hoping Monoprice sees this and addresses the issues and fixes it in a second revision.- Ofenlicht

Which would be a bit daft considering Audeze already did the R&D and decided to put on seperate metal connectors on their wood rings.- Ofenlicht

Audeze hasn't had nearly as many issues with wood cracking ever since they changed the connectors way back although there are some pictures with cracks at the same spot as here with the M1060. Either way I am glad, I went with an aluminium LCD-2.- Ofenlicht

Seems cosmetic so far but who knows if it will provide a lever for the screw to weaken the structure over time.- Ofenlicht

Honestly, the consistent location of the crack makes me think it's either a design flaw or a mistake in material choice/finish.- Ofenlicht

Measurements actually look quite good. I'd love to try them next to the newest LCD-2s. Monoprice actually copied the LCD-2 so well that they also found a way to mess up the version 1.0 connectors :^)- Ofenlicht

The M560's measurements were really disappointing. I am hopeful for the M1060, though. Hoping that someone will disassemble them and compare the drivers/magnet array to the LCD-2.- Ofenlicht

It's highly unlikely that Audeze would supply their proprietary driver technology to a chinese competitor that is planning to sell at less than a third of the price.- Ofenlicht

NEW Audio Technica Multiple BA IEM: ATH LS50,70,200,300,400
I thought the mid-treble was slightly recessed. Maybe roll-off is the wrong word. I might be wrong though because I also tried more treble heavy headphones such as the ATH-MSR7 and the new ATH-SR9. These are first impressions I will be back tomorrow to try them against other IEMs and...- Ofenlicht

NEW Audio Technica Multiple BA IEM: ATH LS50,70,200,300,400
I had a listen to the LS200 today and thought they were really quite good. They were very comfortable to me and sealed well even though I didn't have the chance to swap through tips. Sound signature seemed pretty neutral to me with slightly rolled off treble. Bass extends low but lacks...- Ofenlicht

DragonFly Red or Fulla 2?
There's really no reason for you to upgrade. The difference from Fulla 1 to 2 is small. The main reason why the Fulla 2 is superior is because it has more power and different sort of outputs as a variable preamp or line-out DAC.- Ofenlicht
