I use mine with 490 hd pro (custom 4.4mm balanced cable) on PC and PS5. The Dac 3 does not disappoint with it's gaming performance :)

Correct. Front light illuminated despite no usb c connection. Should be just s simple firmware fix where it cuts off the power when no signal incoming via usb c

Thank you. I tried it on my MacBook and windows pc. Both powered down with usb c plugged in and disconnected. The dac stays on regardless when external power is connected. As I said it's not the end of the world. Looking forward to your findings

Ever figured it out? Mine stays on when connected to the external 5v power supply, but disconnected from usbc. Bit annoying having to manually disconnect it from power. Not sure if that's intended or just a design flaw. Surely there would have been a way to turn off the dac when disconnecting...

i got my RU7 recently and just messing around with it on win11. I downloaded te RU7 usb drivers from cayin's website, but when i open the control panel, it doesn't show any devices, or bitrate information. Win11 sound settings however, show the RU7 as main device. Any ideas?

Same. I gave away My ps5 designated zen dac v2 and instead of replacing it with the same, the uno would be perfect. I read somewhere it works with the switch so most likely uac1 and therefore should work on the ps5 too, but I’m waiting for confirmation before pulling the trigger

Does it make a difference if I connect both the DAC and CAN via a 5v power brick, compared to just the CAN and leave the DAC on usb only? Since i don't use the DACs amp section, there is no need to have it connected to power or am I wrong?

Shame creative stuff doesn’t work well with Apple. The sxfi amp needs an android device and the G6 a windows machine as the creative suite is not available on Mac OS last time I checked.

All depends if you are planning to run your headphones directly from the controller or if you have an external sound card such as mixamp, sound blaster, dac/ amp etc.
