The London Underground
agree with the comply P-series (longer tip). I use um3x with the comply P-series on the tube, and on flights, and they isolate extremely well, and are also quite comfortable. They work with any westone iem, or other iems which fit T100 comply size- snowy08

IEMs to complement or replace CK7
My friend upgraded from a ck7 -> ck10 -> ck100 and he has been pretty satisfied so far. However you want a more bass, so ck10 or ck100 might not be exactly the one you want. Perhaps you could think about Westone 3. The highs and bass is good, but highs may be too sharp (and sibilant) and the...- snowy08

Advice: higher-end IEMs with BIG bass, but clear mids and highs?
Sounds like an IE8 to me However Westone 3 has pretty good bass as well, but might be a bit too much for some people, in which case um3x is not a bad contender as well- snowy08

"Dark Knight" AD700 Gaming Mod (Lots of Pics!)
great work! I like how you made the epoxy platform. Just wondering, how still is the mic when gaming? Because I imagine the L plug which connects the mic, might rotate about the socket.- snowy08

Westone 3 or UM3X for classical?
to my ears, um3x has a more neutral presentation than the w3, which make um3x more suitable for classical music. one of the reasons why i bought them- snowy08

anyone used westone's inline volume control?
I'm referring to the one that comes in the westone 3 package. The reason I ask is because the volume control on some DAPs is discrete, hence I cant reach a volume which is between two discrete levels. I'm not sure if the inline volume control will degrade sound quality though. I'm trying to...- snowy08

need help deciding Denon c710 vs. Victor FX500 vs. Monster turbines
I've tried the c710 and fx500, and prefer the former. I think the denon is a good all-rounded performer. my only complaint is that the cable is a bit flimsy I dont think you can wear the turbines over-the-ear style- snowy08

Audio Technica ATH-ESW9 or Sennheiser IE8?
I happen to have the IE8 ESW9 and sansa clip. You will need almost full volume output to drive the ESW9. The IE8 sound more balanced, although I think its mid-bass is slightly overpowering. They have improved alot with burn in though. The ESW9 sound good on a wide range of music, but I find...- snowy08

------Sennheiser IE8 肢解! Dismembered
the captions mention how the tuning screw works. Turning the screw changes the amount of air flowing into the vent, allowing the sound to be tuned. If I'm not mistaken, it appears that the default bass setting has the largest vent, and turning the screw clockwise (reducing the vent size) causes...- snowy08

modding IE8 bass?
I've had the IE8 for around a week or so, with around 100 hours of burn in. I think the bass and mid-bass is still a bit too strong for my liking, even on the default (lowest) bass tuning. I've read somewhere in this forum, which suggested that the amount of bass may be affected by the size...- snowy08

hd600 vs dt880
i prefer the hd600 do the dt880 '03 although it lacks sparkle in the higher frequency, which the dt880 excels at, i think the hd600 sounds more natural for classical music both need to be well amplified to sound best though- snowy08

Etymotic & UE Superfi build quality?
i preferred the er6i to um1 when i auditioned them before purchase. The er6i is analytical and detailed, but i enjoy it for my music. The bass is just right IMO, but is definitely less present than most other headphones. The um1 sounds warmer, and may be more enjoyable for pop music. I'm sure...- snowy08

What would you spend for your perfect setup.
$1000 on a pretty decent source, bit more than $1000 on headphones and amplifier would be spending more if I had a job already- snowy08
