Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H100 Headphones - Reviews & Impressions
What are your impressions on the improvements and drawbacks. I've seen numerous accounts that are somewhat conflictual with each other other than the h100 having a larger sound stage seems to be agreed- ruinedx

Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H100 Headphones - Reviews & Impressions
Is the fit pretty much similar to H95? As I mentioned above, the H95 looks a bit weird on my head, because for some reason my head geometry makes the top band stretch out almost entirely flat across the top instead of curved like a regular headphone band. I dont have a local place to try the...- ruinedx

Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H100 Headphones - Reviews & Impressions
If the h95 didn't exist, I'd say the price is fine. But so long as the h95 is still available to order for its current price again, I'd have a hard time recommending this new headphone from what I've seen- ruinedx

Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H100 Headphones - Reviews & Impressions
For me, personally I disable spatial processing because I don't like it , so the Atmos stuff would be useless (I dont use headphones for movies, music only). Wear sensor, meh. H95 controls were nice wheels too even if the h100 a bit better So for me would be double the cost just based on sound...- ruinedx

Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H100 Headphones - Reviews & Impressions
Seems like from impressions most are saying the biggest improvement from the H95 is the soundstage. This is great to hear as I am a soundstage fan. Although it sounds like its tuned quite differently, so perhaps one will be better at some material than the other and vice versa. What's more...- ruinedx

DROP + GRELL OAE1
Was a really exciting headphone that made me re-listen to my whole collection which is exceedingly rare. Posted a lot because of how incredible it sounded. I basically have forgot about the $750 Grado RS1x I had bought recently. The OAE1 really does it all for me.- ruinedx

@pr0l0w @Shane D I didn't read your whole discussion but I had the Liquid Platinum for about a year. IMO that amp would be a horrible match for the OAE1, too thick, colored, and rounded which will make the OAE1 sound congested and closed-in. Need a more clean/neutral amp for this headphone...- ruinedx

Yeah closing your eyes with the OAE1 can yield some interesting experiences like this on certain content. Once you stop trying to hear stuff, thats when it clicks- ruinedx

Don't worry I am encouraging people in the OAE1 thread similarly to pick up the Grado RS1X. Together, they conquer pretty much any content that exists, quite the dynamic duo. On content where one sounds a bit iffy, the other sounds amazing. The two have become my most favorite headphones of...- ruinedx

That's why I said to check out the OAE1 if you like the Hemp bass. Great bass without the congested highs.- ruinedx

My beef with the Hemp is that the high frequencies are so congested it sounds almost broken IMO. I had one for a while and got along with it, but after I got rid of it I have no desire to replace. RS1X on the other hand is something special IMO- ruinedx

I embraced the edginess and simply got a different headphone for shouty masters (Grell OAE1). The RS1X is at its best with a lot of content with neutral amplification, but you are right that it doesn't work with everything- ruinedx

Anyone who is a fan of the Grado Hemp needs to check out the Grell OAE1. Similar midbass thump, with even bigger sub bass thump, still warm but *FAR* cleaner highs, and much deeper soundstage. The OAE1 is a perfect companion to a high freqs technical champ like the Grado RS1X, and if you are...- ruinedx

While I think they could be further improved in future revisions, right now the OAE1 is my favorite all-around headphone of all time, surpassing the HD800S and many other models that cost multiple times the meager price tag of the OAE1. Keep in mind though, this is coming from someone who likes...- ruinedx

Yeah, personally I don't like the zmf philosophy Imagine going into a five-star steakhouse and ordering a steak and then having a screen pop up that gives you all these different ingredients to add or subtract like you were ordering from the Subway app or something. This is how I feel ordering...- ruinedx

This is my only complaint with the OAE1, I didn't like the fabric. It doesn't seem as plush as the velour on other headphones like Sennheiser for instance, and is a bit scratchy.- ruinedx

I would love to see some pad options that were not as chunky and didn't get as hot. B&O's lambskin material feels amazing, that might work well with these on its face. Not listening wrong, but perhaps missing the point. It's not possible to both A) have a headphone that sounds like speakers...- ruinedx
