Review by 'Silicone' on item 'Sennheiser HD 600'
They are AMAZING headphones, if you like neutrality and clear audio, there is really no competitor, Grados 325e? Not even close, Audio technica r70x? You're kidding me. I can't emphasize enough, YOU NEED THESE HEADPHONES, they make sub-par songs sound great, you will love them, no matter how...- Silicone

Review by 'Silicone' on item 'Yamaha HPH-MT220BL'
Yamaha mt220's are amazing headphones which offer top notch sound quality for little expense. They do net need an amp to drive, but still work well with one. Neutral sounding while still maintaining a good, realistic sound. They blow the m50x out of the water, if you are looking for a cheap...- Silicone

The (new) HD800 Impressions Thread
I've heard there are slight changes in the sound stage which was odd given most reviews haven't mentioned it. Did you notice any compromise in the soundstage with the 800s?- Silicone

Review by 'Silicone' on item 'Grado SR325e'
If you are willing to put aside comfort and bass for a clearer sound the sr325e are for you, the sound signature takes some time to get used to. Highly recommend listening to them before purchasing, You might totally hate them. You most likely won't enjoy the Grados without an amp and a...- Silicone

Oppo PM-3 : The Portable Planar - Impressions
I listened to them for about 10 mins with a decent dac amp with good flacs, and i don't know what all the fuss is about. They have a decent sound but a pair of yamaha mt 220's are much nicer, sure you're getting an planar magnetic headphone for cheap, but that does not mean it's good. I have...- Silicone

Review by 'Silicone' on item 'Sony MDR-10RBT Bluetooth Headphone'
If you are looking for a portable bluetooth headphone willing to compromise some sound quality for it then look no further, they are not too pricy, but i really expect more for sony in terms of sound quality. If you are serious about audio you probably won't like them. But audio is a subjective...- Silicone

Oppo PM-3 : The Portable Planar - Impressions
Honestly, there isn't a great deal of difference. Sure there are some differences but the sound is very similar so if you don't like one of the pm series, you probably won't like the others.- Silicone

HD700 or HD800
Everything 600 and above are 300 ohm impedance. The 700's are more neutral, and balanced, where the 800's have killer highs and an amazing soundstage, I personally like the 700's more but it really comes down to what you like, if you like the 700's more, it would really pay to look at the 600's- Silicone
