The bronze and the transparent are the same. Except it's probably easier to fake the bronze version because you can actually look inside the body of a clear one.

Yeah I agree. I feel like everybody compares it against headphones that are wayyyy over the HD700's price and then complain that it's not as good or that it's not perfect.

As someone else mentioned already, I would look at Campfire Audio's Andromeda. Noble Audio also has a ton of offering at that price point and below and beyond. 

If I'm hearing (static? white? idk the right term) noise when I plug my earphones into my computer and phone, would getting a dragonfly and plugging my earphones through it solve the problem?

Don't quote me on this, but I think 535 would be more suitable for mandopop. Mandopop songs are more driven by vocals right? The shure's excel with vocals and should have adequate bass response.
