I was able to use the USB DAC mode with the provided usb cable. However, I did get crackling sounds when I changed the Windows Sample Rate to something absurdly high like 300KHz. Maybe you could experiment with that?- BergOnMyMind

Yeah i realised after i posted. It comes and goes.. I also found just changing to another bit rate has a similar effect to replugging the USB cable and can also temporarily fix the lag. Its wierd, but at least these things take like 2 seconds to do. Still annoying though.- BergOnMyMind

A fix for the Hiby R3 having lag, delay or latency in USB DAC mode i've found is changing the sampling rate. Go to Playback devices in windows, right click - properties for the Hiby R3 --> advanced --> pick the lowest sample rate (44100 Hz for me) Hope this helps.- BergOnMyMind

The FiiO X3 2nd gen (ex X3K, X3II) Thread : 192K/24B, CS4398,Native DSD, USB DAC with LO and inline remote
Been using the X3 for about 2 weeks. After upgrading the firmware, the scroll wheel is almost perfect to use. The Buttons are nice to press and click well and no hiss is detectable on high sensitivity IEMs.- BergOnMyMind

Rate the video games you're currently playing
Playing Bioshock 2 Remastered. The game doesn't look half bad and the FOV fix is appreciated. Playing it the first time doesnt have same magic as playing Bioshock 1 though which is a shame.- BergOnMyMind

Been listening to the IM50 on my Fiio X3 for a few days. The bass thumps quite nicely without bleeding into the mids. I'd love to hear how the IM70 sounds too.- BergOnMyMind

Xiaomi Hybrid IEM Thread (Piston successor)
I much prefer the Pistons 2.0 straight out of the box, but the Hybrids sound much fuller and wider at the expense of clarity in the vocals and mids. However, EQ is a must with these IEMs in bringing out their best.- BergOnMyMind
