Cardas Clear Headphone Cable
Danger Will Robinson! The nature of pure copper is to slightly change the character of the sound of the headphones. If the phones are bright, that's great. But if they have a warm sound to start, the clear may harm the sound quality. And I truly regret paying all that money for a friggin wire...- Aaaaa

Cardas Clear Headphone Cable
Have been listening to balanced cardas clear on HD800S fed by Oppo HA-1(lossless sources) for couple weeks. Very first time I listened I knew they made a big difference in smoothing out the top end. Treble more euphonic and pleasing to listen to for extended periods. They seem to soften the...- Aaaaa

2x Oppo HA-1 Problems
Many people have reported the very faint static sound when turning the volume control. The current solution that works for most people is to turn the volume control all the way down then all the way up and repeat this full sweep back and forth about 20 times. This seems to clean up the problem...- Aaaaa

Online streaming music.... which site is best?
Tidal is by far the best sounding of the streaming services. The desktop and mobile apps work very well. Just stay away from The Amarra For Tidal app from Sonic Studio, this app is slow buggy and a constant source of frustration, stick with the Tidal apps and you will be happy. -
Oppo HA-1 Impressions Thread
That's a good question. It does take half an hour to warm up to sound it's best. I turn mine on when I want to listen, then leave it on for the day becauce I typically will come back to listen periodically, but then turn it off when I'm finished for the night. I leave it off at night especially...- Aaaaa

Would you consider Oppo HA-1 to be a fat SS amp? I have the HA-1 and also a Schitt Valhala. I'm wondering if I would get significantly better sound if I upgraded to another amp with better synergy with 800S. If Oppo is already pretty good then diminishing returns would mean I would have to spend...- Aaaaa

There was a 6kz problem. Anax mod tried to address this problem. Sennheiser also addressed this problem. Ergo Sennheiser optimized anax mod. QED.- Aaaaa

Oppo HA-1 Impressions Thread
Careful, the Oppo doesn't have a pre-phono stage so you will have to connect the turntable to the pre-phono and the pre-phono to the Oppo. Turntables put out a much smaller output than CD players and other digital sources. Just check the manual for your turntable or search on google and you will...- Aaaaa

I compared single ended to balanced with HA-1 and the increased power from the balanced really seems to open up the soundstage and fill in the bottom end significantly.- Aaaaa

First what you really want to know. Is the HD800S the HD800 with the hot peaky treble fixed? Yes. Sennheiser had the testing equipment and the engineers to take the “6 khz mod” and optimize it until they could really address the treble problems so well described by reviewers on Head-Fi and other...- Aaaaa
