Yes you can open the cups by removing the earpads and removing the screws and then separate the driver from the housing. Cables are quite short in both sides, but when you open them up the cables have a slight slack on both sides and you can install the Dynamat pieces to the cups.

I have. I've been burned-in my pair for 67hrs now and they sound very good. Dynamic without a hint of edgy or too bright treble. I like them alot! Only Grado's I've liked in C2C are HF-2 and PS-1. More impressions will follow when I have about 150hrs on them.

I think I have also the perfect "Grado-ears" because I can wear any Grado with bowls for multiple hours without discomfort. I only had to bend the headband slightly loose than stock but everything else is like new.
