    XDuoo X3 DSD 24Bit / 192KHz CS4398 Chip Lossless Music Player

@tomaster I don't think that there were any reports of instability of the original firmware (unless the device has been hacked by the owner for some reason). It's worth of checkingthe version of your existing firmware against the current XDUOO X3 firmware published on their site. Your message...

As I said, one's ears (and associated equipment) could play some tricks... the best way is to measure with a chronometre a set 44.1 kHz resolution music file on the X3 and a different DAP (which does not carry the 44.1 kHz 'stigma')

Are you sure that the resolution of the files you are playing is 44.1kHz and not 48kHz (or higher)...? The 'acoustic' perception can also play funny tricks, the best test would be if you 'cut', say, a five minute sharp audio file from a longer song which has has 44.1kHX resolution, in Audacity...

Let's not get carried away... Rockbox.org has not provide an image that can be used directly on X3; XVortex has adapted the raw Rockbox image for use with X3... The logic implies that it is up to XVortex to redistribute a share of the donations (that may have come his way) to Rockbox.org...

The use of plural 'YOU' / personal YOU' / evocative 'YOU' is, at best, confusing... Has any of those experiencing the non-working firmware switch issue gone through ALL the posts relevant to this problem (or re-installing the XDUOO X3 original f/ware)...? This forum is, after all, for self...

    - Have you got a spare uSD card? Test the installation of the RB firmware on that card... - Use a different computer for the installation - Read over and over the installation 'How To' (there are quite a few very explicit guides in this thread) Still failing? Try to be very explicit describing...

You may want to reconsider, the 'silver' version can be purchased from Amazon UK for £67.99 (and you can have it tomorrow with 'Prime') https://is.gd/9NpboQ The Far East purchases command uncertainty of delivery, delivery long wait and a possible Customs & Excise tax... I would not consider...

I did... on both accounts. The O2 is the obvious winner... but in both cases the combo (X3 + amp) is hardly a mobile choice for audo-on-the-go and given the plentiful power and good quality of the HP-output sound I don't feel the need for an amping device to compliment the X3 while out-and-about...

Looking from closer proximity one could discover that this firmware is a fork of the original Rockbox project created by a group of people (https://www.rockbox.org/. This Rockbox fork is the work of one person, XVortex ( http://xvtx.ru/rockbox/index.htm ), outside the Rockbox developers group...

You must a very mature music lover and I salute your presence here... I believe that you've already voided the X3 warranty by installing a non-XDUOO firmware... just ask somebody with better eyesight, steadier fingers and with access to proper electronics toolset to open the backcover and to unplug the battery for a couple of minutes... maybe a few droplets of...

John Mayall is the Godfather of the Brit blues (crown hold by Alexis Korner according to some sources)... If you check his bands (starting with J.M. & the Bluesbreakers) you'll find a real 'Who's Who' of blues & rock luminaries from both sides of the Atlantic... mentioning just a few: Peter...
