Best Smartphone for audiophile Part II (Updated: Jan 2020)
It might be too early to tell at this moment. With LG best strategy is to wait for 6~12 months from launch date. For the price drop and to see if there's any known issues from their users. I personally think if I were to buy a just released most up to date phone, I would rather look into Sony or...- lisztian420

Best Smartphone for audiophile Part II (Updated: Jan 2020)
Yep. LG makes good sounding crap phones... which is why the v20 is like $350 usd here now after 9 months from launch date... the bootloop issue and the ghost images don't help much. I am guessing it might reach 300 mark by the v30 launch... But lg v20 is one of the best phone for sq though.- lisztian420

Best Smartphone for audiophile
Yep! The 10 sounds very nice. If they only use a cheap or lamea$$ dac who cares?? My ears like it^.^ If htc is only using a super underwhelming DAC then all the other companies like esstech, akm or Cirus Logic gotta wonder wth they are doing... Haha.- lisztian420

Review on HtC 10 and Sound quality (AQstic Dedicated Integrated DAC)
I love music and usually prefer full size speakers system. unfortunately I'm not always home to enjoy them so the next best thing is usually through IEMs or headphones. I learned over the ears music is super personal experience and so is sound. Which is why I'm not really into enjoying music...- lisztian420

Review on HtC 10 and Sound quality (AQstic Dedicated Integrated DAC)
Don't know a v20 well enough to comment. But my m10 sounds very clean and lush with my shure846 with white filters. Also good with jh13. I like it more than v10 when I compare them. It is a much better phone than the v20 though. No overheating or screen problems. My biz partner told me she is...- lisztian420

LG V10 : New ESS Chipped Flagship Android Phone from LG
Sure. I just think different variants might also have different motherboards that maybe come from different factories. I don't know... I got thw h962 the asian/Taiwan variant. The v10 isn't a particularly popular phone in Taiwan but so far there's been hundreds of bootloop cases and complaints...- lisztian420

LG V10 : New ESS Chipped Flagship Android Phone from LG
I had it replaced before. So this is my second board... It seems like too many poorly designed/soldered motherboards from LG with the v10, G4 and there's been reports of the same problem with newer models. Just Google it if you need more evidence. I cannot be sure exactly what actions is...- lisztian420

LG V10 : New ESS Chipped Flagship Android Phone from LG
Unfortunately this wasn't my experience at all. I recently discovered that I turned on auto-update on apps and the v10 often would update when I get home and have the phone plugged into the charger... The phone got super hot and it froze on me two nites ago as a result to that:( So another tip...- lisztian420

Simply put.... Not everyone live in a big city and have easy access to audition all the phones they want before their purchases. I think many here read this thread to try to gain some valid info. Ears and perceptions to sounds and timbre already varies from ears to ears. This makes things...- lisztian420

I strongly advise all fellow headfiers to not buy an LG outside the country you reside in. Especially not in Asian countries where consumer protection isn't as good as the West. LG customers service is the worst I ever encountered. Their quality control and design is also abysmal. I never...- lisztian420

Best Smartphone for audiophile
I bought the LG V10. Liked the sq hate LG. Despite the bootloop problems appearing more and more common as time goes by, LG still ain't doing **** to own up to their design flaws. The damn phone's ridiculous heat ****ed up my microsd card too:( Also I am starting to get ghost images on my...- lisztian420

Best Smartphone for audiophile
Jim. I normally agree with +80% of your comment except for this. I got the ipad pro and huawei m3 for tablets. But i would not go for a phone under 5.5” Anything under is for people with small hands like the Donald... I can type with one hand via swift mode with lg v10. So... But yes, htc...- lisztian420

Seriously, people who haven't heard the source should shut the ef up about the SQ of the source... Even after we hear it sounds could be pretty subjective. But useless speculation is not helping anyone.- lisztian420

LG-V10 Hi-Fi audio quality review on serious audio performance
In Taiwan, LG did not take any responsibility for it's design flawz and stated it's normal for their mobile phone to have a short lifespan. While accusing many users mistreating their G4 or v10s. LG gave the users here it's very short olive branch of special 20% discounts from USD$300 to $240...- lisztian420

LG-V10 Hi-Fi audio quality review on serious audio performance
Yep. LG has bad build quality and bad attitude towards it's aftersales service. I know I sound like a broken record.... But you really gotta watch the heat with this phone... Since it's due for an upgrade soon (7.0)remember when installing firmware upgrade get your Ziploc out and throw it in the...- lisztian420

LG-V10 Hi-Fi audio quality review on serious audio performance
Thanks Bros for the previous advice regarding keeping the phone cool. It's definitely a hardware issue. Basically if I push my phone harder like downloading something while watching YouTube, it gets warm! Playing Dominations for +10 mins it gets warmer to burning hot after 20 min mark and if I...- lisztian420
