Modern smartphone vs Ipod 160gb classic

I use a Moto G4+ and iPhone, and also have a collection of iPods (2 7th gen classics, 2 6th, 2 5.5th and some nanos and shuffles), in general this is what I found (with EQ flat): iPod classic vs iPhone - iPhone wins, with the native music app and even better with apps like BBE sonic maximizer...

    Getting a FIIO X1

I have both and I actually like better the original X1, the "wheel" on the X1II is a pain to use, UI it's so slow, and about the bluetooth, what's the point of getting a dedicated dap with a nice amp and dac if you are not going to use them when you send the music over bluetooth.

    FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

11 years from an ipod photo plus many more years to come doesn't sound like throwaway to me...   but yeah, that X1II really sucks, right? (getting back to topic)

    FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

Isn't that like saying that levis has a scam on us because after some years of abuse their jeans just break? but I get your point, it also depends of how we treat our devices right? It says more about the user when the same thing happened to 2 different ipod models... but actually, one of my...

    FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

JK1, what's your thing with batteries, I remember how you use to post over and over about how you wanted removables super long lasting batteries that were cheap for the m3,you even wanted AA batteries for it, and now your back with more battery comments, really dude, seems like every single one...

Dude, you shouldn't ask here or anywhere how to steal music.

    FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

Same thing would happen if you compare your phone to any dedicated dac like the X1 or X3, they do sound "flat", but that's really the point, smartphones add to the sound to make it more pleasant for most people using the free earphones they throw with them, they add extra bass, more treble...

    FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

Don't know dude, check on that day for a deal on b&h, or maybe in the fiio site, and we should go back to topic (bashing the FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!)

    FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

Go with the Fiio EX1 earphones dude, those iems are amazing, probably the best Fiio has done (and it's more of a rebranding really, but it still says fiio on the box).

    FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

If you are in a noisy environment and just want to have some music as background while waiting to go back to your classes, you can just go with a sansa clip, it plays mp3, flac, audiobooks, has fm radio and is not plagued with bugs like the fiios, plus is small, very durable and like half the...

    FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

If I was to use it in a noisy environmet like a school where you cannot fully appreciate the hi-res details of your music, I'd just use my phone whith some nice headphones, or a sansa clip that will also play flacs if you are not planning on using bluetooth and you want to save your phone's...

    FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

Also, isn't the X1II strong selling points the click wheel, the bluetooth and the new design? the design looks like an ipod mini from like10 years ago, round and fat, just with a shiny black front and with a click wheel that doesn't work as good as in the old ipods, the bluetooth does not work...

    FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

It's also very different reading a review from someone who went and bought the product than from someone who gets it for free to write a review, if you pay for it you will be more critic about every aspect of it, if you get it for free for a review, you can just rave about how amazing it is the...

    FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

If someone who raves about everything Fiio produce is not that impressed... it makes you think, right?

    FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

What I think about Fiio is, why would they change their policies with customers like us: (what many of us are like...) "ok I have an X3, also an X1, but the M3 is new, I'll get it...the M3 sucks, but look at that, a Fiio with touch screen, gotta have it... well, not what I expected, ok, don't...

But like you said, "It's not complete", so why is it on the street? shouldn't it be still inside of fiio being tested and completed, like, every other product out there? we do tend to forgive fiio for everything and just wait for updates to see if something is fixed, and I'm not even complaining...

Guys, aren't we getting to a point where if fiio puts a rock in a box, we'll praise it and call it the best thing out there and declare it a sansa killer just because it says fiio on the box? I don't have the M3, only the x1 and x3ii which I like, but this one seems that people are trying so...

Guys, has anyone compared the M3 with the Xduoo M2? they cost the same, do the same, so wondering which one to get since I already got a fiio x1, x3, some ipod classics and nanos and clips, so I'm thinking of getting just one, either the fiio m3 or the xduoo m2 (I'll be using it with flac files...

Oh, sorry, did I hurt your feelings? Dude, I'm not starting a conversation with you, you just reminded me (and some of us) of that other guy that keep asking the same thing over and over and over and over and over again for the very same thing, sound familiar to you? so just to know, are you...

Hey brooko, how does it sound with the headphones direct with no amp or anything in between? because using an amp sure beats the purpose of the m3's size, which is making it super portable, and if we still have to use amps or plug whatever to it, then what's the point of it being super compact...

Hey raybone, don't even try, 40+ hours aa bateries guy is just like that, he ask for 40+ hours of battery life, but then he says that if X player is over 90 hours, he'll "probably" buy it, I think most of us know where we are, in an audiophile forum and know that high quality (in everything)...

Guys, about that "aa batteries" dude, are we really even reading his nonsense anymore? he doesn't want to charge his player because is very inconvenient to plug something to a wall, or might forget about it and leave it home, wants 40+ hours and must use aa batteries, yet somehow is small even...

Nobody here hates batteries dude, they go great on remotes and flashlights, and like you said, walkmans from 20 years ago (I remember too, just rewind the tapes with a pencil and you could get decent juice from those), it's just that this is a fiio m3 thread and there's a guy who keep asking and...
