Dan Clark Audio EXPANSE Review: Interview, Measurements, Impressions
I want to thank DCA for bringing such a marvelous device into life. 100 hours of burn-in and now I can “see” the music. Nothing else matters, maybe except a higher upsampling rate. P.S. I can understand people enjoying the expanse with a woo tube mini, but the bass through the dongle is...- speCD

I’ve tried it on a delta plane. But perhaps it varies plane by plane. It could also be the low frequency noise on the plane that cancels out the underpowered bass.- speCD

Thanks for sharing your exploration! I have to say this is a very personal hobby and tip rolling is another parameter that's highly variable. My experience with W1 is quite the opposite. Coming from a Spinfit Omni, the W1 sounds more detailed, but lacks bass - actually quite muted. I'm now...- speCD

Questyle CMA18 Portable DAC with Headphone Amplifier
Thanks! I’m glad that you didn’t push too far and your hearing is still well😂 Compared to the raw power, I guess my point is more on the “quality” of the power. Like how the current/voltage is delivered and the control of it even at a lower volume. I have a woo tube mini at hand to compare...- speCD

Symphonium Crimson - Impressions and Reviews (The Next Standard)
I wished the company had provided an instruction. I almost pushed the metal mesh in… The trick I learned is to get one side of the rim in as much as possible, then squeeze the middle of the rim and try to tilt the tip. If you get it right, the tilt will be very easy and the tip will snap on...- speCD

Well, I didn’t experience what you experienced in terms of a constant background noise. That’s all. Now your comment became a bit too personal, I’d suggest you pull back a bit to help the thread remain healthy.- speCD

Depends on the IEM cable, I heard phone interferences a few times, but not the hiss described here. I had a pair of Yanyins which was sensitive, but I don’t recall a background hiss.- speCD
