I have had mine for over 3 years. all good so far

Has anyone compared it with other head amps? Anyone paired it with the Audeze LCD2 or he MrSpeaker MadDog?

I thought about the H10 and heard many good things about it.  But it is a bit big for my purpose (office, day job listening) That's why I pinned some hope in the Shiite...   Right now I am considering the Supreme Sound Lycan.  It is within my budget, but I have yet to hear it.  My local dealer...

I went to a local dealer to try my Mad Dog on a few different amps.. The schit lyres, generation 1 was on sale and was the only amp in the store within my budget.  It was alright, but I feel that  the Mad Dog could do with more power.  My search continues. 

Do these discrete type opamps share any common sound characteristics? Is it like tube vs solid-state where they have a sound that is instantly identifiable as being a discrete type... if that makes sense.

How about those discrete type opamps? How do they generally stack again the ones from TI or AD opamps? 

I definitely need the isolation hence I went with the Mad Dog.  Office listening....   It's so good now and all I need is a reasonable price amp to pair with it. : ) 

: ) I don't think there will be any TV or high end audio in 20 to 30 years time.   Earthlings will all be Apple zombies by then. 

Hi have been listening to my Mad Dog for 2 weeks now. It definitely needs serious power to drive out its full potentials.

I have just received mine.  It's surprisingly well done in quality.  Now for the burn-in!

I think this is because DSD belongs to Sony and the whole purpose of having DSD in SACD was to prevent people from extracting its copyright contents. Downloadable DSD is kind of a legal grey area right now.  

Well said! I personally do like the sound of DSD, some of them at least.  the problem is the confusion surrounding how to stream them. : ( and after all the messing around, there are only a few tracks I like that comes in DSD.  It's like those TVs that come with stupid 3D glasses.  It's funny to...

Hi, has anyone compared the Mad Dog to the Audeze LCD2?  I have the later, but thinking of picking up a Mad Dog for office listening... I figure the closed back Mad Dog will do better shielding out unwanted noises in my day job.

Thank you so much for sharing this photo.  It is nice indeed, linear power supply, good size transformer, Elna caps, symmetrical layout, alpot, changeable op-amp.  This boat is definitely sea worthy in an ocean of choices.
