USB DAC: E10k Olympus 2 vs E17K Alpen 2 or OTHERS?
Thanks for your reply. I ordered both devices and currently check them out. The sound on both FiiO's is very good and a very noticable improvement over my onboard soundcard. While the sound of the E10k is a bit warmer and fuller the E17k has a bit more clarity. What my ears could tell me is...- Mannheimer

USB DAC: E10k Olympus 2 vs E17K Alpen 2 or OTHERS?
Hello, I am looking for the best option to drive my philips fidelio x2 headphones on my computer. I read about the FiiO E10K Olympus 2 and the Fiio E17K Alpen 2 which are both usable as a USB DAC. Since I don't want to use my headphones on the road portability doesn't matter. I am only looking...- Mannheimer

Good headphone recommendations?
The Sony MDR 1A are really really comfortable and have a great sound. I heard they had a bad noise isolation for a closed headphone. That's why I am considering saaving a little bit of money and getting the Logitech UE6000.- Mannheimer

Good Isolating, comfortable and PORTABLE headphones
With my open Fidelio X1 I never have these problems but they are open. My ears get really worm using the DT770 but with my SuperFi 5 Pro In Ears my ears really hurt. Choosing between hot ears and painful ears I choose the first one :D- Mannheimer

Good Isolating, comfortable and PORTABLE headphones
@ahunatu This review is really destroying my dream of a Sony MDR 1a with good isolation :( Comfort is important but I need some headphones which cancel out some noise. They don't need to be as good as inears but as good as possible. @liquidzoo I've owned the Dt770 by my own and they were...- Mannheimer

Good Isolating, comfortable and PORTABLE headphones
Thanks for your quick reply. Can you compare the level of isolation between the MDR 1a/1r to the DT770? Comparing all day situation would also really help me. Could you hear a usual conversation or the TV?- Mannheimer

Good headphone recommendations?
I am also really impressed by the sound of the Sony MDR 1a. They are so comfortable for a closed headphone and have a great soundstage. Since I have only tested them in a very quiet environment I don't know how good the isolation is. Can someone compare the isolation of the MDR 1a according to...- Mannheimer

Do I need new headphones?
Even when the sound of the Beats Solo isn't the greatest you should stay with the thinks you like. If you like them it is okay, it's all about`personal preference. Since the Solo HD isn't really famous for its clarity hearing a difference between CD and mp3 is a little bit harder but possible...- Mannheimer

Which Headphones? Beyer T51 - Yamaha HPH200? or?? Help needed
If you are looking for really good build quality and a phenomenal sound stage I can easily recommend the Philips Fidelio X1. They are comfortable even after 10 hours of wearing them. But if you want to use them in a noisy environment they are useless cause of their open build form. Otherwise...- Mannheimer

Good Isolating, comfortable and PORTABLE headphones
Thanks for your reply. I made my thoughts and IEM's don't seem to be a good solution for me. Since I own the Ultimate Ears Super Fi 5 Pro and some other InEars between 15€ and 50€ and they are all uncomfortable after a while, I don't think any InEar could be good except a made to measure which...- Mannheimer

Good Isolating, comfortable and PORTABLE headphones
Hi, I am looking for a good isolating, comfortable and portable headphone which can be powered by a smartphone, tablet or laptop without an AMP. Since I never get used to InEars (even with memory foam my UE SuperFi 5 Pro are quite uncomfortable) they should be OnEars or OverEars. If you knew...- Mannheimer

Koss KSC75's. Dont Forget This Giant Killer in all the ''Hidden Gem'' Hype.
I really liked the Koss Porta Pro which is a great headphone especially fot that low price. I am considering to buy the KSC75 for the gym and cycling. Could you recommend them in terms of wearing comfort during crunches, situps and so on? What about the noise isolation? I knew that they are...- Mannheimer
