Yep, i've been wearing them a lot in the last couple week, and i can now wear them for hours without issues, so the padding just needed to soften up with use.- Coldheart29

So, i bought them and have been using them for about a week, and i must say i quite like them. Ergonomics are top notch the pads are the most comfortable i've ever felt, and the headband only produces an hotspot in the very center after long lsitening sessions (but that should be easily fixed by...- Coldheart29

Yes, i'd definitely be getting a balanced cable, i'm actually looking forward to get the zen dac v2 or some other dac and amp with a 4.4 balanced output, so i can switch to balanced cables on all my phones (not like i have that many right now :V). Eh, i'm thinking of moving to a balanced...- Coldheart29

Hey guys, i was thinking of getting a pair of these headphones to try out some planars, and just found them for about 20 bucks off, so i was thinking of getting them right away. Now, my issue is that the only thing i'd have to drive them would be my fiio x3ii (or an apple dac hooked to my...- Coldheart29

CHIFI LOVE Thread-A never ending IEM-Heaphones-DAP-Dongles Sound Value Quest
Hey all, it's been a while! I'm starting to feel the itch for a new pair of IEMs, and was looking at the moondrop aria (from what i've read and heard around they should be just what i'm looking for these days, and comparing their graph with that of the quarks, which i own, seems to compound that...- Coldheart29

SONY WH1000XM3 - better than QC35 in noise cancelling?
Allright, if we're talking about a short circuit risk things are different then, i thought it'was just a volume level concern. Yeah, if that's the case i'd rather avoid the line out then. Thanks for the info!- Coldheart29

SONY WH1000XM3 - better than QC35 in noise cancelling?
well, i've mistakenly plugged other headphones in the line out multiple times over the years, and it never happened. It actually always sounded quieter than the HP out at the same volume level, for some reason. If that's the only reason to be weary of it, i don't see a problem with going with...- Coldheart29

SONY WH1000XM3 - better than QC35 in noise cancelling?
The headphones come with the usb to type c cable, the ariplane adaptor, and a 1m aux cable to use the headphones cabled. It all should have been neatly packed in the pockets inside the carrying case. But why? even when cabled, if the headphones are turned on they're using the bult-in amp, so by...- Coldheart29

SONY WH1000XM3 - better than QC35 in noise cancelling?
Dunno if this has been discussed, but i just got these headphones and i was thinking that when using them cabled with my x3ii it'd be a good idea to use the line out instead of the hp out whith the headphones powered on, right?- Coldheart29

Low end. Cheap. Generic. Otherwise bang for buck cable thread!
Hey everyone, the cable on my sony mdr 100aap is showing some signs of an imminent failure (it still works, but depending on how i bend the cable near the plug i get more or less volume, not by much, but still noticeable), so i was looking around to find a replacement cable that doesn't cost too...- Coldheart29

Hmm, will have to try out this sponge mod on my ZSTs, would be really nice to have a bit of damping in that pesky 3-4khz area.- Coldheart29

Well, for some people it's stuff that costs 3k+ that puts a smile on their faces, to each his own. Also, good for us. They buy it when it's expensive, so that new technology can trickle down to less expensive stuff for people more strapped for cash :D.- Coldheart29

Uh, normal chargers output 5V and 1 to 2 AMPS (1A to 2A), not milliamps (1mA to 2mA).- Coldheart29

Yeah, but the distorted sound should last only for as long as the connector is plugged backwards, plugh it the other way around and it should work fine. All that is happening is that the membranes in the transducers are vibrating in the opposite way they should, generating sounds that have an...- Coldheart29

Uh, AFAIK, the only thing that happens when plugging them backwards is the transducers playing out of phase, resulting in a distorted sound. And for the Nicehck 16 core cable, it works fine and sounds fine on the ZSR and on the ZSTwith the dot towards the back of the earpieces, and i'd think all...- Coldheart29

@DjAgetarou Red pin goes on the right earpiece, white on the left. The blue dot on the pin has to face towards the back of the earpieces (at least on the ZSR). Try this test to check the left/right are properly wired, and this other test to check if you plugged the pins backwards by mistake.- Coldheart29

As for many other aspects in this hobby, that's not true for everyone. For me, that bump makes the ZSR much more comfortable than the ZST. The ZSR stays snug in the ear, i can do anything and they won't move, thus it wont rub atound. Meanwhile, with the ZST i have to reseat them every now and...- Coldheart29
