What I'm really asking is if this is practical to worry about. It makes sense that any frequency could damage your ears if the amplitude was high enough, but aside from crazy ultrasonic weapons, could frequencies higher than I can hear hurt my ears? I've never had my hearing range tested and...

So when using the line out, the volume control on the E10 wouldn't control anything right? Also, I'll definitely consider the E10, but I might only want to spend more than 60 bucks if I really have to. If there's a similar USB DAC that's cheaper that you guys recommend I might buy that instead.

My level of audiophile listening skills is this: If I'm wearing headphones, I can tell the difference between 128 kbps and 320 kbps mp3 played back to back if I'm listening reaaaally intently. That's it. Almost all my music is in 320 mp3 or 256 aac and I've never felt the need to have any of it...

The A5+ has RCA jacks in the back for output to a sub. It looks like the M8 can take RCA while the STF-2 doesn't. I don't know what the other ways of hooking up a subwoofer are. If I got the STF-2, how would I hook it up?

The cord I would like it to work with is a 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm aux cord because I'm using the RCA inputs on the speakers for a turntable. However, I have also tried using an RCA to RCA and that didn't work either.
