Did you press the little button next to the update port? That will wipe the USB Amanero firmware which could explain why the device is no longer recognised.

Unfortunately, it's not that easy. Each foot is held by 2 x M3 screws from the inside of the unit. You need to remove the PCBs to get to the screws, so it's a big job.

From what I see on line the fuse for the Gustard U18 is 500mA but the one in the OCK-1 is 1A. EDIT - I just tried a 500mA fuse I had spare and the OCK-1 powered up fine without blowing the fuse.

I haven't tried a fuse swap yet so thanks for reminding me! The one in the OCK1 has gold caps so on that purely aesthetic basis might be better than the average cheap one. I have a spare Gustard fuse I'll give a go over the weekend.

I got one of these (DI-20 to R7Mk2) and it‘s spectacular value for money. One my friends then got one for his M7S - Singxer SU1 combo and he loves it too. When I ordered I just put Audio GD in the comments and one turned up. Credit to @FredA for finding this gem.

I noticed they also sell the individual cable strands used in the HDMI cable as bulk cable. It‘s relatively cheap so I’m going to buy some to see how it sounds as an ACSS cable. I’ll report back when it’s done.

Make that 11 people you know. Mine arrived today and it’s a fantastic cable for the price. It has easily bettered the Supra silver HDMI cable I was using, which in turn was better than the Belden HDMI cable. Detail has improved, grain and noise reduced. Many thanks Fred for the recommendation.

Unfortunately I don't have any photos of the recapped innards, but they are the same caps that DACladder used in his M7 recap. Sizing of the caps was fine too and in most cases I was able to go up a bit in uF size.
