New ACS T1, no acoustic dampers?
I recently got the ACS T1 IEM. Although all the pictures I found of it have acoustic dampers in the tubes, mine don't. Does anyone else with recent models also have the dampers missing? I know this affects the shaping of the sound on the high end.- shoeblade

ACS vs Sensaphonics
Has anyone had experience with both ACS and Sensaphonics custom IEMs? I think I want to go the silicone route, but am unsure which may be better for music listening. Any input would be great. Thanks!- shoeblade

I've broken the Etys two times now...
Yeah, I don't know why they go for hard plastic for the tubes. I have successfully made comply clone foamies with these (at .50 cents a pair! )- shoeblade

For the stock ones, I would say 4 or 5 times because of the glue. It depends on a few things like their age and how hard they become to get off. You can also see my offer Here and make your own with reusable, softer easier to remove tubes. It's not that hard.- shoeblade

Grab it by the very tip, this part is over the stem: Also try taking it off with a twisting motion.- shoeblade

Ok, I'll mail it out on my own dime in this case. E-mail me your address (to the address and in the format I stated in the first post). You can send me a piece of Australian currency of your choosing in return (will be interesting, i'll hang it up ).- shoeblade

Come on they're F-R-E-E, if you don't have/want to get a leather punch you can use a hot needle. On another note, How much does it cost to send a letter to Australia?- shoeblade

Pics Stock tube on the right removed from foamie: Tube is slightly more flexible than the stock, so it's easier on the ears and slightly easier to remove from the stem.- shoeblade

ATTN: Etymotic er4 and other IEM owners, FREE tube to make your own foamies!
I recently acquired some laboratory tubing that is the exact same dimensions as the tubing in the stock foamies for the Ety er4. Therefore you can make your own foamies. With the polyurethane earplugs and a 2.5mm leather punch, you can use this tube without glue, so the tubing is reusable. If...- shoeblade

Headphones For Specific Generes
Well, every time I read a headphone review it seems to contain something along the lines of "...well, it depends on what type of music you listen to...".
