The Hardest hitting Headphones are.. ( "The EXTREME BASS Club")
Honestly, I understand the blanket response. You may have really good design ideas, but they likely receive 1000's of other ideas sent by customers who think they know the business and/or the engineering behind what they do. I have been working for manufacturers for about 20 years (not...- Ben Dover

The JVC FX850..Woodie perfection?. (A review)
They are snug. I know how you feel, but most of what you are dealing with is the ear bud tips. The other thing I did was upgrade the cables to the Linum Bax which are super light. With those 2 upgrades, I can barely tell the ear buds are there. With this setup, I use them while bike riding...- Ben Dover

They come in a pack with several sizes, so you should be able to find something that works for you. I got mine on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Sony-EPEX10A-BLK-Replacement-Earbuds/dp/B001RB24UA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1429820112&sr=8-1&keywords=sony+hybrid+eartips- Ben Dover

I had the same problem and tried several different ear bud tips. I ended up with Sony Hybrids. They are perfect now.- Ben Dover

I personally did not like the Spinfits, however my ears are finicky. I have a set of medium and small if someone wants to take them off my hands.- Ben Dover

Review: Estron Linum BaX --- New IEM Cable for a New Age
I have the BaX mmcx paired to my JVC FX850 iems and the weight savings and flexibility alone was worth the upgrade in my opinion. With the stock cables I always felt like the weight was tugging the earphones out of my ear. Now I feel like they aren't even there. Bass seems to have more detail...- Ben Dover

I would imagine it sounds great but if you like your music on the louder side, like I do, you will probably want to use an amp. It's night and day for me with my Philips L1 when I plug up my O2.- Ben Dover

The DX90 definitely doesn't need an amp for iems. I mate my DX90 with o2 amp when at home to drive my full size headphones though. I love the sound from both configurations.- Ben Dover

This one is pretty good. Never any issues, Japanese Mabuchi motors. Wouldn't put it at my bedside though, it's not 100% silent. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GQFVBKQ/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1- Ben Dover

Even used is fine if you can find the right seller. Easily one of my favorites. I unloaded several other watches once I found myself reaching for this one more than any of the others. Planet Ocean is a great alternative IMO.- Ben Dover

Fiio X5 or DX50/DX90
I haven't heard the X5, but I just went from the X3 to the DX90, and wow.. There's that presence I was missing. The music feels "rich" coming from the X3. Vocals are clear and commanding, without becoming "shouty". Right out of the box. I can't wait for this thing to burn in a bit. Hooked it...- Ben Dover

Suggest a portable DAP/DAC/AMP setup under $1k
I have the Fidelio L1. I have X2's on order as well as some Shure 215's. I am pretty addicted... My L1's aren't even broken in yet and I've ordered the 2 I mentioned above already.- Ben Dover

iBasso DX90 vs Fiio X3/O2 setup - Opinions please
Ended up ordering the iBasso DX90 and some new ear buds. iBasso and IEMs for travel. iBasso with O2 and cans for home? Maybe upgrade to a full desktop amp at some point. The addiction continues.- Ben Dover
