They are snug. I know how you feel, but most of what you are dealing with is the ear bud tips. The other thing I did was upgrade the cables to the Linum Bax which are super light. With those 2 upgrades, I can barely tell the ear buds are there.    With this setup, I use them while bike riding...

I had the same problem and tried several different ear bud tips. I ended up with Sony Hybrids. They are perfect now.

I personally did not like the Spinfits, however my ears are finicky. I have a set of medium and small if someone wants to take them off my hands.

I ended up with Sony Hybrid tips. The others I tried would not sit well in my ear.

  I would imagine it sounds great but if you like your music on the louder side, like I do, you will probably want to use an amp.   It's night and day for me with my Philips L1 when I plug up my O2.

The DX90 definitely doesn't need an amp for iems. I mate my DX90 with o2 amp when at home to drive my full size headphones though. I love the sound from both configurations.

That may come into play soon. I really do not think TAGs are very special anymore.

OE Samsung S3 battery will have legit capacity.   Majority of the aftermarket batteries from overseas have shown to exaggerate their capacities. At least from the tests I have seen.

Even used is fine if you can find the right seller. Easily one of my favorites. I unloaded several other watches once I found myself reaching for this one more than any of the others.   Planet Ocean is a great alternative IMO.

I haven't heard the X5, but I just went from the X3 to the DX90, and wow.. There's that presence I was missing. The music feels "rich" coming from the X3. Vocals are clear and commanding, without becoming "shouty". Right out of the box. I can't wait for this thing to burn in a bit. Hooked it...

I have the Fidelio L1.   I have X2's on order as well as some Shure 215's.   I am pretty addicted... My L1's aren't even broken in yet and I've ordered the 2 I mentioned above already.

Ended up ordering the iBasso DX90 and some new ear buds.   iBasso and IEMs for travel. iBasso with O2 and cans for home?   Maybe upgrade to a full desktop amp at some point.   The addiction continues.
