Stax SR-80 with Stax SRM-1/MK-2 Pro amplifier
Thanks Nick but according to this found in the comments below the answer is no. So I'm still confused. https://www.headfonia.com/stax-srd-7/ And from the SR-404, SR404LE, and Lambda Pro review: The Pro model requires a higher bias voltage of 580 volts, compared to the 230 volts normal bias...- wae5

Stax SR-80 with Stax SRM-1/MK-2 Pro amplifier
It's been a while since I've been here and I'd like to ask a Stax question but Stax topics seem to be dead so I'm asking my question here. If I've violated Head-fi protocol, please accept my apology. Can I power Stax SR-80 electret headphones with the Stax SRM-1/MK-2 Pro amplifier which has pro...- wae5

Differences between Gilmore Lite Versions 1 & 2
How can I determine whether a Gilmore Lite amplifier is version 1 or 2? Do the differences make a sonic difference? Thank you for taking the time to consider my questions.- wae5

Consensus on <$500 amp with RS1 synergy?
I listen to my RS1is powered by the Little Dot MKIV SE amplifier & I'm extremely pleased with this combination. This amp costs about $440 delivered to the US. I believe Uncle Eric thinks this combination has impedance matching problems but it will work well enough for me until...- wae5

Grado RS1i Impressions thread
I just joined the club & the RS1i is the first phone that makes me think I may not need my other phones. To confirm this I ordered from Woo Audio Stax SR303 to use with my SRM-1/MK-2 amp. Let the playoffs begin!- wae5

What are your most comfortable cans for all-day use?
"I have a pair of Grado 225s, which are quite possibly some of the most excruciatingly painful headphones ever designed." I listen to the Alessandro MS1 more than any other phone because I like the way it sounds & for me it's my most comfortable phone.- wae5

Grado Fan Club!
Quote: One lazy San Francisco afternoon three retired guys compared our MS1, SR325i, RS2is & RS1 phones & came to the conclusion that the SR325i is so close to the RS phones that if you can't afford to upgrade, you won't be missing much. Some complain the 325's too bright. For older...- wae5

I no longer need these: HD600, K501 (K701 pads included), K701, MDR-F1, AD700, SR325i, PK1, DT880 (250 OHM), SR-003, Ety-4P (S cable with many plugs). All are mint in the box. I have MDR-F1 & K501 (with K710 pads) duplicates that have never been opened. I’d like to end...- wae5

Grados
Grados aren't good bedphones b/c they make you lie flat on your back -who rests like that? Buy bed buds like MX400, 580 or IEMs like RE2s, etc.- wae5
