Keces P8 Linear Power Supply
Yes....I'm afraid that I am the same way. There's the exact settings for something.....and there's everything else, which all collectively comes under the heading of "WRONG". Both sections drifted the same half volt. It just ate at me every time I looked at it and saw "19.5V" and 12.5V" (not... -
Keces P8 Linear Power Supply
I nearly bought that 'Demo' P8. Decided to pay the extra for in-the-box. Probably no difference whatsoever, but the peace of mind was worth it for me. First of all......kudos to Roasty for the pointers on adjusting the regulation!!! Many thanks. I have the 19V/12V P8....for powering a Roon... -

Best HP for Nick Drake?
Shure SE846 ...but it really depends on the associated other hardware. Typically, I play a Fiio X5-II and find the SE846 to be an especially good pairing with it on just about any music. But, with my Pono, they're not quite as synergistic in my estimation. The devil is in the details ...- Simon Templar

6SN7 Tube Addicts
Definitely the KenRads. If you truly have found a pair of NOS KenRads....I'm sure the price is impressive. Be careful about that, though. There are a LOT of tubes out there claimed to be NOS....but aren;t even close. Some I've run across are compleatly worn out. Sellers hope you don't...- Simon Templar

Correct. Upon occasion, you might instead see CLR (Clean Lubricate Regulate). But 'CLR' having other popular connotations, the trade has gotten away from it in favour of CLA. ....sT- Simon Templar

Members Only jackets
I think I still have one in a closet someplace. Dark red/Maroon, not blue though. For all the sneers and snide remarks they get these days, at the time it was one of my favourites. Not so much for the look (which I always thought was somewhat generic)..but because it was incredibly...- Simon Templar

[HIRING] Massdrop hiring Audiophile Buyer
Didn't say it was impossible. Merely said it's unlikely. How many bean counters do you know that truly qualify as audiophiles?- Simon Templar

I've half a dozen various Seiko's. I think I like them because they were the first watch I owned growing up that wasn't a Timex. I catch a lot of crap these days, though, from people who look in my watch box and see Rolex next to Breitling next to Pam next to Seiko next to Seiko next...- Simon Templar

Back in the '80s, I had a friend (long since passed away now, though) who owned a Suzuki dealership. In mid-'88 or so, I got the first '89 Katana 1100 that crossed the state line inbound. I put the Suzuki re-branded Krausers on it and rode it until I sold it in '93. I had been riding...- Simon Templar

I'm about to pull the trigger on a new Indian Chief Dark Horse. Just waiting for a couple other issues to resolve themselves first. HOWEVER....should anyone have a 1989-93 Suzuki GSX1100 (Katana) (that hasn't been beaten and abused to hell) that they're selling, feel free to PM me. ...- Simon Templar
