You can put the Loki before or after the SYS with out issues I believe. Probably depend heavily on how you're using the SYS and how you want the Loki to effect the devices attached to the SYS.

With the amount of 400i's popping up in the for sale forums and the average price that they're going for, I'd suggest picking one up for your first PM. I wasn't a fan personally, and much prefer my EL-8O's over the 400i, but because I prefer a warmer sound and nothing against the 400i quality.

Valhalla is not the best option for PM cans. The 400i I briefly had and the EL-8 I currently own don't do so well with it. A hybrid amp like the Lyr2 is a much better option.
